Chattahoochee Florida City Manager Lee Garner has been caught taking payoffs from the cities utility provider, while the citizens of his town struggle to pay their monthly light bills. Mr Garner is also a high ranking member in the Rotary Club, and is, or was a Treasurer for the North Florida League of Cities. This has been going on for years, and if had not been for the advice of a State Senator from Florida, he would have got away with it. He has also been accused of misappropriating Federal Grant Money, and purposefully, not advertising the funds in effort to keep minorities from bidding on several City Projects. Mr Garner has finally admitted to taking illegal kickbacks, and decided to Plea out, instead of going to trial. In the allegations Mr. Garner was also accused of Loan Sharking, Misappropriating Federal Grant Money, and misusing the Cities inmate worker program, for personal use.
