Exposwest, Western Expositions Home and Garden Show Scam Fraud Fort Meyers Florida

My company Hydrabrak LLC recently was a victim of the scam at Exposwest. Their scam is simple. Set up a professional looking website, include dates of all the events - take the money of all the vendors, and then cancel the show at the last minute, and finally - don't refund any money or return any calls.

When contacted about the home show, Exposwest told us that they had no booths left at the show. Then, the next day, they called us and said they had a last minute cancellation and they could take our money for a booth.

We sent them the money order overnight and packed our stuff for the trip to Florida. When we got there, the address they gave us was imaginary and did not exist. When we called them to get directions, we got a voice recording explaining that the home show was cancelled with no explanation.

After some last minute research, we found multiple complaints and scam alerts. Thankfully we were able to stop the money order in time, and they will never recieve our money, but the 15 hour drive, paid labor, preparation time, and a $400 - non-refundable plane ticket - all totalling about $2,500 will unfortunately never be recovered.

Don't do business with ExposWest, or Western Expositions. They are a scam.
