My fiance and I received an offer for a wedding photography package at a great discount. We met with Roy Parks, who presented a contract which required a $250 deposit with the remainder of the balance due on the day of service.

We paid the deposit in October 2009. On February 7, 2010, we received an e-mail requesting more money, or our contract would be cancelled. I proceeded to call Roy Parks, who claimed that our contract was void and to guarantee our date we would need to send more money.

When I demanded a refund of our deposit, Roy Parks became belligerent and hung up on me. Shortly after that phone call, I received an e-mail stating that our contract was cancelled at my request, and we would receive a refund in 30 days.

It has now been over 30 days, with no refund, and no response at my attempts to further contact Expressions Photography. Since our initial meeting with Roy Parks, I have now found at least ten other people who have been ripped off by this man who falsely presents himself as a wedding photographer.

We will be filing a complaint with the Attorney General's office. I know it won't be the first one filed against Roy Parks and Expressions Photography, but I hope it will be the last so no one else is ripped off by this fraud.

They had a choice and the company should file a lawsuit

AUTHOR: Lisa - (USA)

POSTED: Saturday, March 13, 2010

From what I've read in this report and the rebuttal posted by the individual it appears they had a choice when the photographer notified them of the policy change. The company had a right to make that change and the client had a choice and they canceled the contract so why the abrupt actions taken by this client if the photographer emailed or called this client to let them know it would be coming and they post this nasty report and threaten to file a complaint with the Attorney Generals office. Its too extreme and It appears they did not cooperate with the photographer and put him in a difficult situation plus I know these repots can never be removed even if the dispute is resolved. He should file a civil suit against these people because they posted false statements. I would like to see the emails from the company to these people and the responses from the clients.

#1 REBUTTAL Individual responds

This person is going to be investigated for internet fraud and extortion

Doug Hartley & Amy Heist are complusive liars and will be sued for defamation and libel. They posted this embellished report 5 days before the photographer was going to mail the refund. Serious legal actions will be taken to recover the damages caused by this malicious report.

Most of the statements in this report are fabricated and not accurate. Its more of a hoax with the intent to harm the reputation of this company and the photographer hired to photograph this wedding. This contract was canceled by the client because they refused to accept the new deposit policy for having 2 photographers. This person is going to be sued for libel, defamation and tortious interference with business expectancy. A lawsuit is going to be filed within 45 days in the proper venue. We spoke to the Attorney Generals office and they will be forwarding a copy of that complaint so we can include it with our civil suit. The report will be closed and they're not building any case against this company or the photographer. We never cancel a contract without cause and we don't steal deposits. They were promised a refund but they posted this report before it was mailed by the photographer that signed the contract. Serious legal actions will be taken by the company to recover extensive damages caused by this report and bogus statements he presented to the public.
