I worked as a general manager at the Travelodge in Brunswick since 07/24/2006-03/03/2008. I asked to take my vacation and was told that I could not. The primary investors decided to take over the property I left. They owe me for 2 weeks paid vacation, holiday pay and personal days I did not get and my incentive that I was supposed to receive every quarter and only received 1 time. They owe me over 12,000.00, I had to hire an attorney to get my last 2 weeks pay. One of the other investors stated that they understood and that they would not fight my unemployment and I am having to file appeals.
They fired everyone at the hotel who was associated with me (I have a recording of them firing someone and they stated it was because of me). They also told this person that he would get a bonus and now have stated that they never said this even though this too is on the tape.
I have notifacation from the old vice president that I am due this incentive and the rest of my money but no attorney seems interested I have had some say that they would call back but no one has.
If they would rip-off employee's I cannot imagine what they would do to their guest.
