I entered this program in oct of 2008 within 6 months i was served papers from a credit card company. I contacted fidelity and was told they would contact the company and work out a payment plan with them if they could. I waited 4 days and heard nothing back from fidelity. I called the credit card company and they explained that they had not heard from anyone at fidelity so i called fidelity and asked to be removed from their company, which they did of course cause they had already made over 2,000 off of my by that time. This company does nothing for you but take your money (1,600 up front) and I think its wrong for companies like this to take advantage of people who truely need help with their debts. I filed a complaint with the bbb and received all of my money back other than the 1,600 I paid up front fidelity said they could not refund that back because it was for their services. What service they did nothing for me at all if they had I would gladly keep my mouth shut and let them keep my money but they did not provide me with any service!!!! DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY!!! I had to file bankruptcy to get out of this mess which is why i went with this company in the first place I wanted to avoid having to do that.

Fidelity Debt Solutions is Gone

AUTHOR: Roberto - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, June 02, 2012

I am happy to report that Fidelity Debt Solutions has gone under after having had to face several lawsuits from state Attorney General across the country. I am surprised these scumbags stayed in business for as long as they did. Good riddance!

Rebuttal to Fidelity employee

AUTHOR: Roberto - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, December 26, 2009

I was never behind on my credit card payments, but Fidelity told me to go into default in order to join the program. It was only after I joined Fidelity that my wife and I started receiving court summons. In other word, Fidelity never did a d**n thing for us except take our money, which we could have used to pay our creditors. And your claim that Fidelity has established relationships with creditors is a blatant lie - Discover and Citibank, among others, plainly refuse to deal with debts settlement agencies. You aren't fooling anyone!!!

Misunderstanding

AUTHOR: JD - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, December 16, 2009

Our organization offers a solution to individuals that have fallen deep into debt and are not able to afford their monthly payments to creditors.  Our program is simply an alternative to having to file bankruptcy and has a much less severe impact on credit ratings and can allow you to be debt free in less than 3 years.  There is nothing that our company could do to force someone to "file bankruptcy to get out of this mess"...By the time someone is need of our service, they are already facing having to file bankruptcy.

We are committed to providing every prospective client with all of the information about our service, including all potential implications both legal and financial PRIOR to enrolling in the program.  We also take great care to explain all of the options that are available to them.  Our Agreement/Contract clearly defines our services and what our refund policy is.  We do not require any money up front to enroll in the program, as is stated in this complaint.  The fee for our service is non-refundable, as our services start day one of enrollment, even though the first payment for the program is not due until up to 3 weeks after the enrollment date.  Our service includes taking over the communication with the creditors.  The creditors may continue to contact the clients via mail and frequently make threats of legal action, however, very few actually proceed.  If someone receives an  ACTUAL SUMMONS to appear from the COURT after only being enrolled in the program for 6 months, that means that they had pending legal action from that creditor prior to enrolling in the program.  Fidelity Debt Solutions DOES NOT advocate that consumers stop paying their creditors....clients VOLUNTARILY stop making their payments to creditors because they are no longer able to afford them.

Our organization is a charter member of the United States Organization for Bankruptcy Alternatives (USOBA) and are always in good standing with 0 official complaints.  We have recently obtained an endorsement from BSI group after passing a rigorous audit.  We have been in business for 7 years and have tens of thousands of clients and have saved our clients millions of dollars on their debt and have prevented wage garnishments and real estate liens.  We give consumers who have fallen on hard times an alternative to having to file a costly and invasive bankruptcy.

I had the same problem with these slimeballs

AUTHOR: Roberto - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, November 30, 2009

My wife and I were ripped off 5K by these scam artists who promised us to get the creditors of your back. 9 months into it, we got sued by 2 different creditors and we even found out that one of them will not even work with debt settlement firms. Basically, Fidelity lied to us when they told us that they have working relationships with credit card companies. Fidelity Debt Solutions should be shut down and its owner, one by the name of T.J. Belfanti, charged with false advertising. This firm needs to be put out of business before others fall for their sales pitch. Needless to say, after being sued by our creditors and having to hire a lawyer to file bankruptcy for us, Fidelity offered me a refund of $1,300.00 out of all the money I paid into the program. My advice to anyone is to stay away from debt settlement companies, and Fidelity in particular. My attorney told me that they are all scams.
