We purchased an RV from Fife RV. They were sited by department of licensing for fraud because they faxed my bank incorrect vehicle information for the purposes of inflating the value of my loan and scammed me out of about $11,000.
I have been told by another dealership - this type of fraud happens all the time with RV loans. I have the paper work to prove what I am saying.
Please contact me and I can show you the paperwork from Department of licensing.
I now have an attorney and am preparing the draft complaint to be filed in court. The attorney suspects when we subpoena the dealers records we will find many more victims.

i have a different story

My experience at FIFE RV, has been a really positive one. First of all, they helped us with financing, as our bank only would finance 20k. FIFE RV's finance guy, spent days trying to get us financed ond on the Fifth wheel that we liked.....it was a new one, and it was a really nice model, but it seemed like getting financed was not going to happen. Finally the finance guy ( i think his name was Mark) ) called us and let us know that we were approved, and we needed more downpayment...which we had saved, but really did NOT want to use for this purchase. We thought it over, and frankly my wife decided in favor of using some of the nest egg, for the downpayment. We went in and did the paperwork, and all the numbers were the same as what the salesguy said it would be...which was refreshing after buying a car recently.....the figures were NOT the same there!! I have to tell you, these guys bent over backwards to make us happy....they stayed late for us, bought us pizza....I mean, I was impressed. Their service has been GREAT!!!I read these reports on FIFE RV.....my experience was great! I am going to send my cousin to buy there, next year. It was a great place to buy an RV from.

I talked to a lawyer & he said he could not help

I talked to a lawyer & he told me he could not help me. The dealership was Fife RV & the lawyer told me the fraud was between The Bank & Fife RV & it happens all the time. Well I feel that my consumer protection was missing because the Bank financed an RV whos value was inflated by 200% by Fife RV; They did this to backup the price they sold me the RV for so the Bank would finance it without requiring money down (which would clue me in that it was not worth what they were selling it for. I was a newby & bought too quickly & did not get a red flag from the Bank in the form of Downpayment needed to makeup the difference between loan & value. Isn't this the same thing that caused the mortgage meltdown. Who did they blame for that? I don't know how to get hold of you since Ripoffreport will not allow emails or names or such. I contacted Ripoffreport.com & asked them to request contact with you but no answer.
In closing , what was the solution to your settlement with Fife RV & who was your lawyer

Washington State DOL (Dept of Licensing) has a special section to handle these types of issues. Contact them - they are extremely helpful in resovling these types of issues. Fife RV in the end made things right with us.

Three years ago I bought a travel trailer from a dealer also . Recently I tried to trade for an upgraded new fifth wheel & a different dealer could not believe I was so upside down on the loan to value of the trailer. He advised me to get the RV appraisal sheet from the bank (that the dealer had sent them for appraised value) I got the apraisal & wow it was inflated by 10,000 dollars which is faud.
How did you solve or settle your fraud problem with the dealer? Was there class action started ? I would like to exchange info.

The salesman tried to do the same thing when I bought a used Winnebago C-Class motorhome from them. He had his accessories list ready to present to my lender and had "checked" the RV as having many items it did not have. When I called him on it, he pleaded ignorance. For this and several reasons, I would not do business with these folks again. If I can help in your suit, please let me know.
