First Choice Emergence Room FCER Highway Robbery Nationwide

I went to ER because I'm a first time pet owner and in my country, got scratch by a cat is a serious problem. I went there because I deserve the right to be treated. The point i'm filing this is I'll pay an APPROPRIATE amount for the treatment and the fact I'm walking into the facility and have a trained docs to look after me. However, the amount I was charged was not right. The docs saw me for 15 mins and didn't do anything. I have been to other ERs before with more severes symptons and yet the bill i got is much less than this one. So, I'd like to post my experience here and advise other people don't ever go to this ER and unite other people who'd undergone the similar with me, if possible.  Of course, you can definitely go, i'll not oppose that. 

1. For you curiosity I'm not the first and only one (probablay not the last one either) of the victim of this ER. I just simply copied this from the yelp website, you're welcome to do your own research.

If i could give them negative stars I would.  We were charged a Facitiliy 4 charge for walking in the door with a cut for $1575!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  They would not tell us any prices before we signed their paperwork and all they kept saying was that we would be charged in-network.

My husband's nose was bleeding because he cut it and the only reason we went in was to make sure he didn't need stitches.  He ended up getting a tetanus shot and neosporin and our bill is $2095. 

THIS PLACE IS HIGHWAY ROBBERY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!­!!!!!!!!

I've reported them to the better business bureau, and we are doing what we can to work with our insurance company to lower the fees - wish us luck."

And because of me so other people need to suffer a insanely high medical bill? Oh, i wish this was the case. Because then I'll stay out of ER, so that everyone in this counry can enjoy "cheap" medical bills. Sadly, this is not the case. 3. Last but not least: something doesn't seem life threathening to you may not necessary true for others! and vice versa!

Are you serious? You went to the ER for a scratch?  Patients like you are why health care costs are so high. 

You cat is an indoor cat, so there's less chance he has a disease. You don't mention any gaping wounds or blood, so let's assume you didn't think it needed stitches. Why, then, did you go to the ER? What was your concern?

The ER is for life/limb threatening emergencies.  They charge a fee just to walk in and see a doctor. What is it you're going to fight? The fact that you were seen by a highly trained medical professional? The fact that you used up space/time/resources that could have been used for someone with a true emergency?

Count your blessings that you can afford health insurance.  I can't, so when I go to the doctor it's because I'm really sick and can't fix it myself or just wait it out.

Why didn't you just go to an urgent care if you were that concerned?
