Many cars parked at the Shell station, bought gas and misc items, then walked next door to visit the neighboring store. As soon as people walked a foot off the property, AB Towing was called to collect.
They all recieved $250-$340 per vehicle, there were at least 6 in the hour I was waiting for my ride after my car was towed. When I protested at the towing company, JODY told me to watch out or she would tack on an extra rude charge.
After we proved to Shell that we had paid, the poor cashier tried to cancel the tows, but too late. First Hand Management is refusing to reimburse any of their patrons, they have lost many long time customers!
To make matters worse, I went back 4 hours later to take pictures of the non-existant tow signs, and two signs in plain view were added within hours. The one hidden behind a tree had been attached with 4 old rusty staples, the two new signs were put up with bright new shiny screws. Hmm wonder what made them think to add them.

You WERE a customer.

Past tense. You bought a little something-or-other and figured that entitles you to leave your car at one business and go shopping. It doesn't work like that, does it? Now you know, and I hope you learned from the experience. So what if the stalls were empty, maybe the station was keeping them open, waiting for the fuel truck to park there. That's not your business.
I'll tell you why your car was towed so quickly, it's because the businesses demanded it. The Shell station was sick of it, and the other businesses agreed to do something about it to avoid being sued or charged for parking, no matter what some employee told you. They said what appeased you to avoid a hassle with you.
I had that problem once, a guy kept parking in my lot. One day someone took a forklift and placed his car atop an outgoing tractor-trailer. It never happened again.

Thank you for your opinion, I was a customer, so were most of the other people that were towed that day. Once the kid at the counter that called our cars in saw our reciepts, he tried to cancel the tows, but once a towing company picks it up, it's their property.
Hawaii guy-I'm sorry you are so disgruntled that you must use sarcasm in a comment to a stranger-obviously you have never felt that you have been wronged by a company who could not care less about what they have done.

First-Hand Management should rent the parking lot at the Shell station.

Apparently the Shell Station has no customers that might want to park, he just pays his rent so others can park in his lot and go shopping elsewhere. He must be a very nice man.
