First National Merchant Credit Card, CCA, Credit Service Division, CCA RIP-OFF Scam

On Jan 3, 2002 I recieved a suspicious letter indicating I'd been approved of a credit card. I had no idea what the heck this company represented and if in fact it was a legitimate credit card.

I called them to get some initial info regarding type of card, where it could be used, what the fees were, and how did they get my name to solicite me for this seemingly bogus card. They I repeat would not tell me who they were, what the fees were, how you could and where you could use the card until I relinquished personal info for the records. This made it clear that this was a scam of some nature and that they would probably after providing credit card info to them would have charged my acct for the initial $99 assessment and who knows whatever from a reoccuring charge situation.

I spoke to a supervisor who was adamant about giving any info about the company and their history until I gave them personal financial info. I sense initially that this was a scam from the start and thier non response to my questions confirmed my initials preceptions. I ask you why would a company not provide info about themselves upfront unless there are possible intentions to defraud, cheat, deceive, and RIPOFF the unsuspecting public, especially those who are more trustful, gullible, and more vulnerable then those who question these types of scenarios before making a decision.

Let's get these companies, individuals, and whomever perpetrates these scams and make sure that everyone becomes aware of their deceitful, vile, and hidden plans to RIP US OFF. I'm going to make sure all my associations are aware of these culprits and scam artists. Let's get them off the streets!!
