BBB now has 61 listed complaints + mine will be 62. I have a different approach than the others though. MY house is imaged on an ad. My neighbor called me to tell me. When she called to inquire they said she could take over my mortgage.  Are you Serious I said... Yes, she was serious!

I'm 100% current on my mortgage payments. If this is supposed to not be a scam, how the bleep bleep did my house (image) get on craigslist? FBI Internet fraud department has been notified in detail. Next thing will be people knocking at my door that were poor suckers that paid the $40 to see the address and full listings. I feel bad for them, but how do you think it feels from a home owners perspective to have people knocking on your door and peering into windows? I'm so pissed off right now!

I was never in default - ever! In 15 years!
It is that company's fault, not Mine or the banks.

First off. i was able to use there listings to get into a home. im not that smart. i dropped out of high school and have a sort attention span, but they helped me through the process of getting into a pre-foreclosure home.

and as for this person crying about them having her house in there listings, well it not first step equity's fault. that would be a complaint needing to be filed with the bank you got your loan from they are the ones that put your information out to them and public records. so if some one went to the courthouse in your  county at that time and asked for a listing of homes in notice of default they would have gotten the same information.  HOW COULD ANYONE HOLD THIS COMPANY AT FAULT, WHEN THE BLAME CAN ONLY BE PUT SOLELY ON THE BANKS.

first step equity does title searches and much, much more for you as one of their customers.
