I had been talking with them for about 2 weeks before I decided to purchase the boat and trailer, discussed several aspects of boat, and I was persuaded that they were trustworthy and believed what they told me about trailer before I left there. I drove 16 hours straight and arrived there about 11 pm..it was late at night and I just believed him that trailer was in good shape and ready for the trip back. Nothing was ever said or even suggested about any issues with trailer. I was told it was carefully inspected, good to go and wouldnt have any problems.
I have towed boats for over 40 years so have a lot of experience. The boat towed just fine and there was no issue with it bouncing or giving any indication that something was wrong. Highways seemed really smooth. At a stop for fuel, after about 400 miles, I made a walk around and only then discovered that the support brackets on one side of boat had COMPLETELY COLLAPSED with boat getting dangerously close to the tires and possibly causing a serious highway disaster.
For them to claim the brackets were inspected and looked ok is beyond belief. Theyre made with about 3/16 steel and were COMPLETELY RUSTED THROUGH. One was completely severed from mainframe and you could even see the gap. I had an insurance adjuster examine the trailer and he said the corrosion on axles was so bad it looked like they were ready to snap. Hed seen it happen before. I dont even want to think what would have happened if that had occurred and the lawsuits that would have followed.
They also told me that boat was " TURNKEY" and ready for the water..more lies...water pump doesn't work at all...also,there's evidence of emulsified water in engine oil.
"Buyer Beware" if you're dealing with these people.
