I have an HP DV5040US laptop, that I was able to watch dvd's on it, but the laptop it self would not boot up. He asked me for $250 to order the motherboard since he said it was bad, took my money, had it for almost 2 months. When I got the laptop back, the screen was scratched, dented and painted in the front of it. The ac adapter wasn't even part of my laptop. Also the screen does not even turn on any longer. I already placed a complain with the BBB. He said he was going to change the casing, and fix it, and only charge me for the motherboard. That was last December. I emailed him multiple times and did not return my emails or fix my laptop. I paid $1400 for this laptop early 2006, the laptop was clean, I barely used it and instead of this guy fixing it he broke it even more. Let me know if you need any additional information.

The customer's laptop motherboard is not sold separetely most of the time. The customer is given a different laptop to compensate with a combination of his own laptop.
