Hello,
After SEVEN attempts, I reach Aaron Powers.
I came in on my own time, consulted over some tat work, and put my $50 non refundable money down.
Tattoo was scheduled for August 12th 2013.
On July 24th 2013 I emailed Aaron Powers personal email, regarding additional info for the session to come.
August 3rd I emailed a change from complex to simple as I was hearing nothing, still no answer.
3 days later, August 6th Aaron emails:

Hi there, Just saw your rebuttal. So me having to try to contact Aaron SEVEN times is cool? And why wouldnt I get my money back after that kind of customer service? How would you like it if you tried 7 times to get a REPLY to a question? Would you want to do business with that man? Maybe Aaron would do amazing work. But to get treated like that, no way. I want to have a great overall experience not just my ink. I'm glad you enjoyed your experience with Aaron. It's hard earned money we invest and permanent, for the most part, so good for you. Plus to suggest I must not have gotten the email he sent is outright not true and there is no need to lie. If he forgot, if it wasnt important to him, whatever, be honest. Now adays with technology, its very f**king rare that a sent email is not received. I dont trust people like that. God knows my time and money are important to me and I earn both of them.

I highly disagree with this poster's version of events. Aaron has done several tattoos for me when Forever Yours was still open in Anoka. He was not only professional and courteous and friendly to me anytime I called (and it was more than once) he was very willing to work with me on what I could afford and when I was able to get it done.
I don't think it is unreasonable for a person to take time off and be able to take their honeymoon after they get married and yes, he did get married, it wasn't some excuse to not take a client for a tattoo appointment. These men and women in this industry are free lance and only make money if they work so its unlikely he avoided contacting this person as the poster is suggesting. And the fact that he "lost" a $50 deposit isnt surprising because the customer did not follow through and it was always very clearly stated in the shop and the paperwork that the deposit is NON REFUNDABLE.
Just because it didn't work out with timing per se doesn't mean RipOff Report is the appropriate forum to air your grievances. Coming onto this forum and trashing his reputation is wrong and immature. Aaron Powers is an amazingly talented tattoo artist. He free handed the tattoo on my shoulder and I will continue to go back to him in his new shop Identity Tattoo for more work. Love him!
