PFour was recommended to me by a builder I had chosen to do a major renovation on a condo that I closed on June 6, 2016 in Baltimore City.   Subsequent to the builder highly recommending Pfour (P4) as a designer, I contacted them and was informed that their services would cost $25,000. My first reaction that’s too exorbitant but then I conceded because the builder recommended them so highly and I figured in the whole scheme of things it would save me some leg work as far as selections of cabinets, wall and floor tiles etc., so, to my chagrin, I agreed.

The initial meeting with P4 was June 13th.  Shawn, the owner, arrived with his associate.  We met for maybe 45 minutes.  They made a couple suggestions and I gave them a check for 15,000.  During this meeting and in emails I expressed to them the urgency I felt in completing the renovation.

After the first meeting we met again on June 28th, 2016 for about 30 minutes and they supplied skeletal images which were not helpful or descriptive.   When I asked them why they had not come out to measure the space and why the drawings were so skeletal with NO dimensions, labels, or anything meaningful their reply was something to the affect that these were ‘the initials’. I emailed them on July 5th in reference to some of my thoughts and concerns and after no reply and not hearing from them OVER 24 hours I started making phone calls of which they did reply but by now I’m stressed.    They suggested we meet to pick selections.   After meeting to make selections Shawn and associate informed me that they would supply me with different options in a couple days and I would just have to choose from what they recommended based on my criteria.   I didn’t hear from them over a week.   During that week I made a major decision to not use the builder that had recommended them due to their non-professionalism.

The new builder that I’ve chosen has an architect as the initial point person.   Our initial meeting was over 2.5 hours. After I presented him with P4 drawings his response was “… what are these?” I informed him they were p4 drawings.  He responded “really??”  On his way out the door I reminded him of the drawings and not to forget them.  His response was “I don’t see those informing me of anything…. You can hold on to those”.

I have since met with a certified kitchen/bath planner who has presented three options for kitchen and each bathroom, based on my criteria, and I’ve proceeded to choose.  I’ve yet to pay her a penny.
