On a resent visit to Fred Meyers, They had a summer sale going on out side I walked around outside for a few minutes then went to go into the store only to find a hole in the concete about 2 inches deep and covered by carpet after falling into the hole. I got up and an emplyee was coming to my aid. We limped me over to the service desk and the girl tried to get me an ice pack from the first aid kit after 2 or 3 were craked and did not work the manager went to get me some ice from the food area. I made a report and told the first lady there should be a sign up or something there so no one else would get hurt she did put up a cone. The manager was to busy and said he would finish his report. I left.  A few days later i received a nice call from a Granmotherly lady asking if I was ok? I told her I went to the hospital and she then said someone would be getting a hold of me from there company. A few days later I recieved a phone call from sedwick a man named Greg Gerlachthe from Lexington, Ky wanting to know what happened. I told him He said he could not get a hold of the lady who saw me fall and that all he had to go on was what the manager had said that there was cones and red tape all round it. Ok if i had fallen on a cone it would have speared me cause they use the ones that pop up and if it was all red and taped off how were they getting all the stuff outside for the sale? Then his store changed again whwn we found there was no video of ny fall. Now my claim has been denide and I a mother of 2 am stuck with a bill of 799.00 to the hospital,  61.00 for x-rays and 510.00 to the doctore for any air cast for my spained ankle and buises to my knee and scrapes on my hand. The store now says it only has general liabilty and it dose not carry any med pay policy. What do I do now! thanks - But in the same letter  it says we hope you will continue to shop with Kroger. Ya right I wish I had a photo of what it looked like after i fell!

HUH?

OK I kinda understand that you fell and hurt your ankle but the rest of your report is too hard to read - FYI learn to spell, use paragraphs

I shop at Kroger all the time and have never ever encountered any problems (except the time a woman was in the store in a burqa)

Contact the regional office and submit a claim - going to the ER for a simple sprain will increase the cost vs going your Physician or a Doc in the Box (after hours clinic)

Good luck
