I was 3 months behind in my mortgage when I recieved a flyer in the mail. Calling the company and talking to them seemed like all my prayers had been answered. Finally someone who was out to help the good guy, in this case , me. All I had to do was pay $1,300.00 over a months time and they pretty much guarenteed my headaches would go away. After only paying $550, and for some reason NO returned phone calls-my wonderful sister did some investigating of her own. Thats when I found out these people take your $1300, and wait for you to notify your mortgage company, then putting you in breach of contract. I cancelled with them first and then contacted my lender who told me they were never contacted by these scammers. I then notified Fresh Start and they told me all kinds of lies and gave me I dont know how many run arounds. In the end I told them they were scammers, which they did not like, and told them I wanted my $550 back. Well I was only entitled to $150 due to the work spent on my paperwork. I was one of the lucky ones. Regardless, this whole process lasted two months and alot of gray hairs. Shame on this company for going after the vulnerable about to loose there homes. I don't understand why this company is still operating. I would gladly tell anyone who would listen what a scam this quack company is. Sure I got some money back, but that did noy stop a forecloser letter from arriving in my mailbox.

This former client of MAS had filed a dispute with her bank stating that the payment that MAS processed from her account was not authorized. I have personally listened to the recorded authorization tape to verify that it was in fact authorized. Her bank returned the funds back to Amber and withdrew them back out of our account. In the meantime, Amber had requested a refund from the company as well, which was approved and a check mailed to her for $150. This was prior to the knowledge that the funds were charged back to Amber's account. In effect, not only did she receive $150 from the company, she also received the full amount of money back from our account. Interesting that a thief would complain in this manner.
