To Whom It May Concern:

In regards to Frodsham's fungus treatment of our lawn that failed to produce any results. This is a brief explanation of the events leading up to where we are at this point in time.

At the beginning of the summer of 2004 we started to notice small signs of fungus in our front yard. We took a small section of where the fungus had destroyed the lawn and good section and cut both areas out as one piece. We took this to one of the lawn and garden experts at J & L Garden Center in Bountiful. They told us that we did have a fungus problem.

We then contacted Frodsham's to come out and diagnose the problem also and tell us what they could do. They told us that we had a grub problem not a fungus problem, going against what J & L had told us. We paid Frodsham's to do a grub treatment. By the same time the next year (2005) we started to see even larger areas where the fungus had spread with the same visual indications. We never had a grub problem. It was the fungus all along. Our dollars wasted.

Frodsham's came out again and agreed they had misdiagnosed the problem. They explained to us that they had a fungus treatment that had been successful on lawns with the same problem and in worse condition than ours. We asked if all the lawns they had treated had been a success and they told us yes. Not once did they tell us that the treatment might or might not work. We were never presented anything in writing or verbally that discounted the success of the treatment. We were told to expect great results.

They applied the fungus spray at the first of May this year. The cost was $100.00 for the treatment.

There is absolutely no sign of improvement after the treatment. In fact the fungus has spread even further.

We contacted Fradsham's at the first sign of the fungus coming back. And took pictures of the damage up to this point for them to see. They responded after seeing the photo's by saying that the treatment was never guaranteed to work and that it had a shot in the dark chance at best to be successful. That statement came straight from the owner / manager Bret Frodsham.

Had we been told up front that the success of the treatment was iffy at best, we definitely would had reconsidered paying the $100.00 for a product that has a shot in the dark chance of working. We would have been happy just to see any sign of improvement. But there is none.

Frodsham's refuses to stand behind their services. Their web site and also their add in the yellow pages says..."All service is completely guaranteed". They had already wasted our money for the grub treatment that didn't need to be done. They refuse to refund our $100.00. They have fabricated several conversations that never took place. Their story keeps changing every time they tell it. They have no integrity.

We signed nothing, and were never presented with anything stating that the treatment may not work. I was led to believe the treatment would be successful during all the discussions we had with Frodsham's.
