If these people call you....RUN! This is my story...This is part of a letter I sent to them on January 20th, 2005, hoping to resolve this...but to no avail they continue to ignore me, so I'll have to take more drastic measures.
The letter, my story is as follow:
RE: Failure to delivery services/product offered and paid for.
To Whom It May Concern:
On Tuesday evening, October 19, 2004 I received a telephone call from a representative of your company offering me an unsecured credit card with a $2000.00 credit limit to aid in the re-establishment of my credit. I was told there was a $299.00 fee that had to be paid before there would be an approval. It was then stated by the representative that once the fee was paid my credit card would be delivered within 3-4 weeks. I authorized for a FCS draft of my checking account in the amount of $299.00 for Tuesday, November 2, 2004 and this fee was paid to your bank on Thursday, November 4, 2004 according to my bank statement. Given the maximum amount of time I should have received my credit card by Thursday, December 2, 2004. I contacted your company on 12/02/04 to inform you that I had not received my credit card and was told that if it had not arrived by Monday, December 6, 2004 to call again so it could be reshipped. I did so and was assured that it would be reshipped in the next days mail and I should receive it no later than the following Monday. When the card didn't arrive again that Monday, I called and was informed that it wasn't mailed until Wednesday, December 8, 2004.
During the time span between Tuesday, December 14, 2004 and Tuesday, January 11, 2005, an additional 4 weeks, I called 1-866-333-1593 non-stop always getting a busy signal, trying to inquire about the status of the delay and location of my credit card. Finally on Wednesday, January 12, 2005 I got through to your company was informed that no cards were sent out during the entire months of November and December, which means that the times that I called and spoke with representatives during December who told me that there was a first and second card sent. well they were LYING. I was then told that my credit card was in fact just mailed on Monday, January 10, 2005 and I was given a ship code, #1811, as reassurance.
Well this brings me to today, Thursday, January 20, 2005 when my package finally arrived. To my surprise and disappointment there was not a credit card in this package as discussed on the very first phone call on October 19, 2004. And at no point during any of the conversations of inquiry that I made to your company was there a correction stating that all I was going to receive was a book of coupons and some phone numbers to call for credit cards. During every call I made I only referenced and questioned the whereabouts of my credit card. Why didn't anybody bother to correct me? So with your failure to deliver the services/product, the credit card, which was initially discussed, for which I paid for, I want my $299.00 refunded to me IMMEDIATELY.
This isn't where my letter ended but you get the point and see where my frustrations stem from. This company is a total RIP-OFF. They should not be allowed to do business, because they are not rendering the services that they offer over the phone. This has truly taught me a lesson about doing business over the phone.
