Gary the handyman has no working employees, yet tells his potential customers he lots skilled employees perfect for their job. He even takes on work that he has no idea of how it should be done, or what it takes to do the job. He does major structural, electrical and plumbing changes without pulling permits, telling his customers permitting only slows down the job so it will take weeks longer and its not necessary.

He hires starving sub contractors and pushes work on them that they are not qualified to do. He pays them what he wants to, not for the time it takes to do the work. He lures them in with promises of lots of work he has back logged. He them schedules them with small jobs, day on day off for a couple of weeks so they can't get any of their own work done. Short changes them on their pay and promises to take care of it on the next check. Until your in deep and then he won't pay at all. He even expects the subs to do all his accounting and collect from his customers, as well as deliver the check over to his apartment.

If your a sub contractor and work for this guy you won't make enough money to replace worn out tools, maintain your vehical, pay your taxes or afford insurance. Stay away, it probably won't be long before this guy skips town.
