I moved to LA in the summer of 1998 to a predominately gay area called West Hollywood, first let me tell you that I am 100% straight,  so when I received a postcard in the mail about Great Expectaions I was curious about if they could help me out as my dating options seemed pretty bleak at the time.   Well they "hound dogged" me to come in for an interview the minute I inquired about they're services.  I went in, innocently just wanting to check it out, in the interview the sales woman was so intense and over the top high pressure that it was scary, she kept saying what are you afraid of ? over and over.  She quoted me a price of $2500 and then said she would hook me up for $1700 plus tax.  I said that I couldn't afford that and got up to leave - seriously now that woman got up and blocked my exit out of the door, she was not letting me leave without a contract and I really thought it was going to get ugly or even worse violent - I've never seen that type of sales tactic in my entire life.  So I thought to myself I'll  just appease this this chick and then get the hell outta there which I couldn't wait to do.  I signed the paper, left, and headed straight to my Bank of America branch to make a stop payment on the check that I gave her, I called the corporate offices and told them no way in hell do I want to be a member.  They informed me that I had to go back in person and sign a membership termination form within three days.  I went back that very next day! , and signed the membership termination form!    Remember:  I NEVER MADE A VIDEO OR EVEN A PROFILE !

Months later I started to receive notices from a collections agency

stating that I owed Great Expectations $1700.   I called back the corporate offices again to tell them about it and they said that they "LOST" my contract termination form and that I had to bite the bullet on this one and pay up!  That was they're words exactly !

To this day from 1998 to 2010 they have royally screwed up my credit in the worse way.   I reported this to the three credit agencies as fraud.  The collection agencies keep switching / trading off the account and it has stayed on my other wise good credit report to this day, what a major headache let me tell you !  

CAN WE ALL PLEASE HAVE A CLASS ACTION SUIT TO BRING THESE CRIMINALS TO JUSTICE ?
