I used this moving company that bid on my move on the website www.uship.com. The secretary was friendly, gave me confidence that my vintage furniture would be wrapped and treated very gentle.

The crew that arrived to pick up my housing goods, were friendly, careful, and fast. I stayed and watched as items were wrapped in blankets, then plastic wrapped and then taped. I was feeling confident I choose the right company.

When the furniture was delivered, it was a disaster. Items were wet, scratched, dented, mildew stained and mold began to grow. When I questioned why my furniture was wet the guy had the audacity to say no its not. It was like this when I picked it up. I had to yell at them to slow down, they were trying to go so fast things were getting knocked around. At this point, the one mover (different crew from CA), refused to listen to me, he would only listen if a man said something to him. I had asked them to put certain things in certain rooms and they ignored me and tried to shove it all in the living room. After we did the item check, we found one item missing. When questioned, all of the sudden spanish was all they could speak.

I called the owner to complain and find out where the missing item was and it went round and round, Peter always had to get off the phone and call you back in a minute. You guessed it, he never called back. Soon he stopped taking my calls at all. The polite secretary was gone. After he stopped taking my calls, I started emailing him. I wanted the insurance information he offered for free and on my bissind page I asked for additional insurance. Now he will not answer my emails, calls, and uship.com is the same way. I filed a complaint with uship.com and have received no contact from them at all. Oh- and when I received my car, it had a very large screw in my tire, isn't that just perfect.

All I have to say is even if it is a family/medical emergency, use a large reputable company. The lower price is not worth the aggravation this man causes. I found he changes the company name and moves addresses quite a bit. There are many other people out there looking for him.

By the way, do not use Triple AAA Renters Insurance for your move protection. They cover nothing.
