   First we do not have a truck scale; metals are handled by hand or placed on pallets by a forklift.  Each pallet is weighed in our customers presence.  Also, all prices that are quoted are honored and we tell customers that call that the prices are subject to change giving them a time frame of when the price quote will no longer be honored.  Normally prices change each Thursday unless the market takes an unforeseen change, usually a downward trend.  We state prices and stand by them and have many customers that can attest to that statement.  If we quote you a price at 8am its the same at 4:45pm when we stop receiving for the day. Only if the market crashes would prices change during the day.

   Our accuser could not or would not name other companies we are out to kill nor, from the way it is written do I believe they have many companies in several states.  I believe if someone from a large company had a problem with us they would certainly choose a different venue to air a grievance.  Not to mention the horrible grammar and spelling.
  As for other scrap yards, this person obviously doesnt know how the system works.  The companies we sell to require us to grade the material, separate it and then they go through it at the receiving yard to verify what we are selling much like we do with the public.  There are no hidden agendas and when you are dealing with large pieces of steel it would be
a bit hard to sneak a piece in.  We can offer documentation or letters from the companies that we sell to if that will in anyway clear up this erroneous presentation of our company.

   As already stated, we do not have a truck scale therefore; we cannot have weighed a truck wrong.  We have one state certified regulated floor scale that is calibrated and checked by the NC Department of
Agriculture twice a year or if we feel there is a reason to have it checked
more often we do; for instance, after Hurricane Irene forced us to move the
scale for safety reasons, we called in for a scale check-up.  Upon that
visit by the NC Dept. of Agriculture scale inspector, we were told that we have
the most accurate scale he has checked this year as well as having ZERO
complaints and we have always met and exceeded what is required by state
standards.  He gave us Kudos for a job well done.  

   We allow our customers to witness the weighing of all
materials and we provide a scale ticket as well as a receipt with all the
information we use to compile the payout.  The customer is given the exact
copy of the ticket we keep in our file. We keep a client list as well as a copy
of every customers identification whether it is a valid drivers license or a
state issued ID card.   We also fingerprint for some items that are
sold.  Every customer signs the scale ticket verifying the weights and the
prices as well as their right to sell the material.  Nothing is done
without the customers knowledge.  We do not change prices; we do not hide
our prices.  We have a price sheet hanging on the wall that we will gladly
show to anyone who asks.  So, you may be beginning to realize we run a
very open and honest business.  Documentation is written and given to
every customer after they observe the transaction at the scale. We pay by cash
or check depending on the state regulations for pay out based on types of
material being sold.  No secrets.  However, the person who wrote the
review on your site doesnt appear to be in our customer database, which gives
us pause to think its no more than slander.

   We also work closely with law enforcement because we do not
want to receive stolen materials.   We share any ticket files that
law enforcement needs to see to work a case.  That is one reason for all
the identification requirements to sell to our company; we do not want thieves
as customers.

   We are a female owned and operated family business with an
all-male yard crew.   We have been featured in the local Work Week
section of the newspaper, we have articles written about us in Her Magazine and
we are involved in charities such as Ronal McDonald House and Walking for
the Cure.  We work closely with local churches and organizations such as
the Girl Scouts to help them raise money by paying them a little more for their
aluminum cans.  We have a reputation for friendly, fair service and we
even offer our customers cold water on hot days and hot beverages on cold days.
 Our companys reputation is a far cry from the picture that was painted
by the illiterate person who filed the report with your website.
