My name is Jennifer and I am so mad I am sick to my stomach. I recieved a letter yesterday that said I had won $120,000.00. Also in the letter was a check for $1998.00 could you imagine the excitement!I could not believe it, I kept thinking is this for real? I was in a state of shock.

The letter came in an envelope that did not have a return address, which made me kind of wonder but then again I have never expireanced anything like this befor so how was I supposed to know?

The letter explained that my name was attached to a winning ticket number 077566 that won the lottery in the 3rd category. And therefore I had been approved for a lump sum of $120,000.00 in cash credited to file: ZZTE508-22/A1.

This was my share of $7,853,180.00 among all the international winners in this category. My mind was telling me this can't be true, at the same time my heart was thinking of my little girl going to colledge and the fact that this money would also pay for a home of our own. Not to mention I could finnally give my little girls father a dependable truck that we wouldn't have to put in the shop every other month. Life was going to change for us.

That fairy tale dream ended when I went to the bank this morning. As soon as I showed it to my banker she said it was a scam. She immediatly got on the phone to report this.

I will be taking this to the police, today! I will do everything in my power to see that these people go to jail. I only prey that nobody else will have to ever go through this mind game. I know that is a dream too.The world today is filled with people who just have no concience. And all this right before christmas.

If these people ever get caught I hope the judge gives them the maximum sentance for this crime.

All my best

Jennifer

409 Scams

AUTHOR: J. - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, March 16, 2007

Oh boy, these scams are all over creation. Mostly they come from foreign countries. The name comes from a law in Nigeria that *supposedly* cracks down on them (don't count your hard-earned bux on it!) NEVER send money, ANY kind of fee, to a person or organization who contacts you through email or snail mail as a "processing fee", etc.

If you want to find about this organization, or person, I *strongly* reccommend googling it (or using any number of other search engines which have better privacy policies!!) contacting the BBB of their area (if located in the states), and if you get a check from one of these scam artists, for GOD sake, if you *do* deposit it, DO NOT TOUCH any funds for at least 90 days. I can almost guarantee the check is conterfeit, and will bounce, and you'll be left holding the bag financially.

Had I responded to all of those da*n things I get, and had they been legitimate, I would have enough money to buy Costa Rica by now!! Maybe Panama too! ;-( There ain's no such thing as a free lunch, as Dad would have said, except for these scumbags

international lottery?

When did you play this lottery? I've heard about these kinds of scams for a few years now. I guess the old saying is true "if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is."
