Government Grant Information Guide Free Money Scam Ripoff Artists Telemarketers Liars Asking For Your Bank Info Over the Phone Posing As Government Officals St. Petersburg Florida

I just recieved a call from a gentleman of Indian decent. He did not tell me his name but went right in that I had just been qualified to recieve 8k-25k in grant money. He asked to make certian that I knew what a grant was, and verified that I understood that I would not have to pay it back. I signaled to my wife to get on the phone and listen. The things that he was telling us sounded pretty nice but I knew that something was up. I've been in sales too long to know that it wasn't that easy. Then he asked me which bank I used, because they worked with all the banks in america. I told him that I banked with Bank of america. He then gave me Bank of America's Routing number and asked me to verify it on the bottom of my check. I looked at my wife who gave me "The Look" and we knew then that it was all a hoax. I wanted to get some more info so the wife pulled up Bad Business Bureau. com and we had our answer.

I asked him to explain to me what other options they had to get me the info without my verifying the routing number on the bottom of my check he said that all I needed to give him was my account number and the EIN on the back of my card... Are you kidding me?!

He then went off on the same crap that you'll read about in some of the other reports, about trusting my financial institution and how this is Free money. Then when I told him how sick I was of companies trying to pull junk like this, he tried to spin a tangled web of words possibly trying to either confuse me or save the sale. I'm not sure which. I think he finallly became frustrated and hung up on me.

Ahh the irony of it all... After all you called me :)

So the bottom line is, if they call you and tell you that you've been selected. It's a scam.
