I want everyone to be aware of Grand Crowne Resorts (Branson / Flordia / anywhere in the U.S.). They have a great scam in which they getting your money.

Here is what happened to me.

I filled out a chance to win a jet ski. A few days later a salesperson from Grand Crowne Restorts contacted me with a great sounding pitch. They offered me a 3 day 2 night mini vacation, $100.00 entertainment credit and a go anywhere mini vacation all for $179.00. All I have to do is take a 90 minute tour .They ask a few questions, ie: are you married, do own or rent, is your income over certain amount, how many children live at home...They then say your all set up. A scheduling rep will be contacting me shortly about time and dates. And that I will receive a letter, this being my proof of purchase. The only thing is the salesperson forgets to ask anything about bankruptcy.

When I was contacted by the scheduling rep about setting up my date for the mini trip and 90 minute tour, I was asked more questions. at this time they ask me if I have filed bankruptcy, been discharged from bankruptcy, subject to a foreclosure, lien placed or judgment against your property within the preceding 3 years.

When I told them I was in my last year of bankruptcy, they said they were not able to schedule. That when the salesperson spoke with me, he told me about the bankruptcy policy. And that it is also on my term and conditions paperwork;which I receive after paying the $179.00.

I tried to explain to the rep, that if the salesperson would have asked the bankruptcy question, that I would have told him about my bankruptcy and I would not be speaking to her now. And I sure would not have paid $179.00 for something I was not going to be able to use. I would like to have my money back.

I was told that I could e-mail them and see if they would refund my money. but in the terms and conditions it states that the $179.00 is nonrefundable. So I probably would not be able to get my deposit back.

I later find out the only way you get the $100.00 entertainment credit and go anywhere mini vacation is if you purchase the time share.

So if you are at the mall, state fair or r.v/ boat show and you see a sign up to win......ask what time share they are with. If they say Grand Crowne Resorts....turn and run away fast. Please dont let them do to you what they did to me.
