Guardian Restoration Destroyed a number of my belongings Philadelphia Pennsylvania

After my apartment building caught on fire, Guardian was quick to enter the scene and investigate.  Their representatives informed my roommate and I that we had better move anything from inside our apartment that we wanted to keep by the next couple days because it was likely to be destroyed.

When we arrived at my old apartment the day after the fire, Guardian had already started gutting the entire building.  We had no choice but to enter the apartment with loose rubble and nails everywhere in order to retrieve our most cherished personal items.  Guardian had pushed everything together up against the walls of my old aparment and covered the majority of our personal items and furniture with tarp.  They used some of my shoes and houseplants (originally virtually untouched by the fire save for smoke exposure) to keep the tarps down. When I saw these items they were covered in soot and rubble beyond repair.  My clothes, which had been either in a closet or in dressers, untouched by the fire (except for smoke exposure), had been placed in plastic bags and were now covered with soot.

After a couple days, when the building was fully gutted, Guardian stopped working on the building.  I believe that was because of insurance issues.  I wish I would have had renter's insurance.  I was able to salvage a fair amount of personal items, however some of my clothes, plants, and shoes were damaged beyond repair as a result of being thrown around in the dirty rubble and soot.
