I ordered 2 magazines in Sept 2005 and was promised delivery 4 - 10 weeks. I started getting worried and emailed halfpricedmags.com around Nov 2005 to check on my order. Dan Conley (which is probably a made up name) promised me the order has been submitted, there was a mix up within their system and this is not the standard of their service, blah blah blah. I contacted them during the holidays, no response. Finally, in Jan 2006, he promised once again but I asked for a refund. So it's Mar 2006 and I have resigned to never seeing my $34 bux again.
Thanks to this forum, the thieve's name is Joel Simkhai and if you google him, you'll see that he's setting up Snappymags.com, probably planning to shutdown halfpricedmags.com soon.
Do not purchase anything from halfpricedmags.com or snappymags.com
