Hallmark Homes, Inc. Once they have your money, their true colors show Coeur d'Alene Idaho

Hallmark Homes, Inc. is a residential home builder in Coeur d'Alene, Post Falls, and Hayden, Idaho.  it should be noted that Hallmark Homes in Boise, Idaho is in no way connected to Hallmark Homes here in Northern Idaho. I am a homeowner in the Lake Forest West subdivision in Coeur d'Alene, which is still under construction. Now that I have personally experienced what Hallmark's owners are willing to do to make a buck/keep a buck, I understand why there are such few bad reviews. They threaten (through their sales agents and superintendents) that if a Hallmark homeowner pursues any issue against the owners that they don't like (i.e. costs them money), they will simply "pick up the phone" and  "shut you down." And that's exactly what has happened to me.

First with respect to my bringing to their attention drainage failure on my lot and several other lots  -- which a soils testing engineer determined is severe compaction caused by construction equipment wheel traffic trapesing, unchecked, over undeveloped lots -- and second the fact that the owners, in their capacity of pre-transition association board members, actually hired a property manager with a heinous criminal past involving sexual conduct with minors and grand theft. This guy is the incorporator of our association, handled the money, and cruised the neighborhood purportedly in search of HOA violations. So as other reviewers have warned, if you are considering buying a home from this builder, I hope you read this and run for your life.
