My mom stayed at the hospital for one month. We went because Dr Meir was part of the advisors and I have read his books for years. The Dr does not treat.anyone over 65 himself.... The psychiatrists were not geriatric. Two were only MD'S and the third one was a general psych. We were told everyone was geriatric. The facility gave my mother sleeping medicine three times a day and used depokote off label to control her. They also added other meds without notifying the family. Mother left in a stupified state and we were told it was due to alz.
Mother had a stroke and they missed it. Mom lost 30 lbs in a month. They blamed it ob alz. They kept her in a geri chair for a month. Her feet had developed foot drop and I was told again alz.. She does not have alz.. She is now home and able to sit and stand with assistance..can have awesome alert conversation and is off all antipsychotics... I made the mistake of trusting the medical community. Do your homework...I know now . Do not make this mistake...it could be your parents last
