Entrepreneurs BEWARE! James Hooks is a crook! On December 8, 2009 James Hooks's company, HCW Capital aka Hooks Enterprises accepted $2000 for consulting services. They had a money back guarantee and they stated it took approx 90 days. After 100 days, I gave them a call because I haven't heard anything from anyone. I was promised by James Hooks himself that he would personally ensure that I receive my services which included a business plan, corporate website, corporate counseling, and up to $500k corporate funding.
6 months later, James Hooks was screening my calls, never returning calls, and never delivered on his promise. I finally requested my refund as per the money back guarantee. 3 days later, I receive a "press release" stating that another company took over and they attached a refund request form. I filled out the form and the paperwork stated the refunds will be issued no later than July 15, 2009. WELL, IT IS OCTOBER AND I HAVE YET TO RECEIVE ANYTHING!!!!!!
I PAID CASH VIA BANK WIRE TRANSFER ON DECEMBER 8, 2008. THERE'S NO CHARGE BACKS, NO EXCUSES, B/C HE WAS PAID IN FULL!! IT'S ALMOST A YEAR AND I HAVE YET TO RECEIVE SERVICES NOR A REFUND. At least with SM and the other victim, Hooks gave them a business plan, and they had contact info from actual loan companioes. I RECEIVED NOTHING EXCEPT A BUNCH OF EXCUSES AND PROMISES THAT WERE NEVER HONORED.
DO NOT USE HCW CAPITAL, HOOKS ENTERPRISES, JAMES HOOKS, OR ANY OF THEIR ASSOCIATES. I AM STILL TRYING TO CONTACT SOMEONE AND THEY ARE RUNNING!!!!

Hooks Enterprises Files Chapter 7, Announces Closure
| Due to today's tough competitive market, its outstanding dispute with SOP Holdings, long-term health complications of its owner and various economic realities, Hooks Enterprises has filed Chapter 7 bankruptcy in the United States Bankruptcy Court, Central District of California to sell off its assets to satisfy existing debts with creditors and clients. Hooks Enterprises will be closing its doors on November 6th, 2009. The corporation will be subsequently dissolved.
