I ordered plates from Hearthsong on November 14, 2007. These plates can be drawn on with special markers that come with the set. I ordered 3 sets with the plan to have my son's special needs class design them for the holidays. We had planned to make cookies with the plates and have them be a "Santa's cookie plate" for the night before Christmas. My order did not arrive so in early December I called to see where the plates were. The nice lady told me they were being shipped and should arrive within 7-10 days.

After a week, I called back to be then told that they weren't shipped yet but that the warehouse would get back to me the next day to let me know when they were being shipped. No one called the next day, so I called again to be told again someone from the warehouse would let me know where the plates were and to expect a call the next day. Two days passed with no phone call so I called again to be told the exact same thing. I then asked to speak to a supervisor who looked into it and said the order was shipped at the end of November and must be lost. She was to check with the warehouse to get the order reshipped and call me right back. She did call me back within 10 minutes, but this time with another answer. The plates were never shipped but were on backorder and would not be available until February, obviously way too late for my son's class project. As of one hour later, the hearthsong website still shows the plates as available.

So now, less than a week before I am supposed to go do a nice holiday project for my son's class, I have no project. Thank you Hearthsong for stringing me along for so many weeks. I recommend that no one ever order from you again!

the plates arrived

AUTHOR: Cgt - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, December 30, 2007

The plates did arrive the day before the project was supposed to be done at my son's class. Of course, by that time, I had already cancelled the project since I was told the plates never had shipped and wouldn't be available until February. I did decide to keep the plates since I was afraid of a fiasco when trying to return them. I still do not plan to have any future dealings with a company as unorganized as hearthsong appears to be.
