I took my vehicle in for maintenance-oil change, radiator flush. In the process of checking the transmission fluid, they pulled one of the plug wires off of the spark plug and did not replace it. My vehicle starting running very harshly and the Check Engine light began flashing. I took it back to the shop, and they ran a diagnostic and found a cylinder one misfire. The told me that this was driveable for an out of state trip, but to get it looked at ASAP. When I did, the coil pack was completely melted through. I had this repaired with no further incident.

When I presented the bill to them for payment, they said that it could not be paid, as it was not covered under their warranty. He said the reason for this is that he couldn't send out one of his inspectors out to look at the problem before I had it fixed. The district manager then told me that I could either go to the BBB or hire a lawyer. After filing in Small Claims Court, I received proof of the true caliber of this company. You see, it's run so well, it's in Chapter 11 Bankruptcy. So again, a bad corporate citizen is free to run amok.

Customer Service Issued Resolved

AUTHOR: Dc - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, February 14, 2008

As the Regional Manager for the 35 KC Jiffy Lubes, I am very concerned with any customer issue that has not been resolved. When Zach's issue was presented to me I contacted him and resolved the issue that day to his satisfaction. It was unfortunate that we did not speak directly on this issue in the 1st place, as it would have been resolved that day. My KC area stores are working very hard to continue our record breaking, great customer service scores and if anybody needs to contact me I can be reached at my office 816-531-5933 ext:24 or my cell 816-547-4868. Regards, Dave Chirello

I was contacted today by the regional manager of Heartland Automotive Services. He was apologetic and agreed to pay all costs involved with this matter. I am glad that someone made this right.
