This company called Homelife Trust mailed me a plain, white legal sized envelope without a return address. In it was a letter with a check for almost $3500.00. The letter congratulated me and stated that after searching their database of 500,000 recent homebuyers across the country, I was 1 of 100 selected winners from their no obligation stimulus incentive sweepstakes.
This sweepstakes total value was $3,483,330.00, funds made available through charital donations and so on. In order for myself to receive the remainder of my prize, I was to call the agent Mrs. Sharon Andrews at 1-951-402-3204 before a particular upcoming date or I would forfeit his prize. The letter also outlined that the check I received would cover almost all of the 9% tax rate I would pay on my winnings.
By calling the agent, I would then have to secure a bond to receive the remainder of my prize, then they would issue my prize to me by cashier's check, money order or wire transfer to my preferred bank and this bank information I would provide at that time.
The letter was from Tim Michaels.
I called both numbers amd actually talked to a female and a male answering to these names Mrs. Sharon Andrews informed me I had to pay the taxes before I could recieve the rest of my award money. When I started to ask more questions she told me to deposit the check and then to call her for the next step. She promptly hung up on me. I then called the number on the top of the letter and asked the male questions he took down the Claim number. I asked if they were associated with the BBB and he said "yes, look us up". I did and could not find the company listed. I did however find a web site that is named Homelife Trust, http://www.homelife.ca/mortgages.hlr.
