I needed to replace my timing belt in my car as a preventative measure. I called around to get the best price from the different dealers in Las Vegas. Honda West had the best price so I took my car to them. I was told that the service included everything including changing the water pump which is a standard procedure when changing the timing belt.
Approximately 6-8 months later I was a different Honda dealer only to be told that my water pump was never changed and that it should have been done along with the timing belt. I was also informed that it is common to have a special price on timing belt service but that the water pump was never changed.
While I was at Honda West the service technician made a point to tell me that everything including the water pump would be changed. That everything was included in the service. The service department flatt out lied to me.

Did your original invoice say that the water pump would be changed? If so, get a written statement from the "different" dealer stating that the pump was not changed. Take that information to the service manager at Honda West and demand a big refund (more than just the cost of the water pump). If they don't give it to you, tell them you're going to sue, and then take them to small claims court. Good luck, and post a response when something happens.
