Worst car buying experience ever! Feel we were misled and lied to for almost 3 months with the most simple question never being answered via email or phone. Originally told by Owner Steve Rogers that there was a "title" issue and that would be resolved in 30 days, but 77 days later there was no information and no title. He failed to meet every timeframe HE established (usually by weeks):
when we could test drive the car, when we could take the car to our mechanic, purchase price, when he would send the conditional purchase agreement, when he would sign the purchase agreement (which he never did), etc... When I questioned the additional $200 he inserted as a dealer fee in the Purchase Agreement (after 2 weeks of waiting) he flipped out and screamed at me that " haven't you ever purchased a car before". If my wife didn't want that particular car so bad would have walked away months ago. Here is the email he sent me after we finally got desperate and had a friend call and inquire about the car (Which he was told it is ready to purchase).......
"Don't you get it? You are insulting and insufferable. I don't deal with people I don't like. Money is not the issue. Good riddance."
Run, don't walk, away from Honest Engines!

Dave and Andrea Demeyer are every retailers nightmare. Paid NO money up front and approached me about buying the car that was not ready for sale and they were told the same. Title is tied up in a siezure for services performed and owner has been difficult to locate.
Demeyer called me repeatedly about buying the car and whined about the dealer fee of $199. I earn the money as I print a temp tag, regiwstration, do all the license tag work at the DMV. It takes several hours not including the time to draft, explain and sign the contracts. Demeyer never paid a penny and I didn't have time to rush the deal. He said time was not an issue until he made it one.
Mrs Demeyer had a friend call up and lie about being interested in the car. She was a sham buyer just to see what we were doing and was so obvious I told the Demeyers to never call or email me again.
Mrs Demeyer showed true class in the foul mouthed cursing of my shop employee who answered the phone. She decided F bombs were appropriate and ladylike.
They paid NOTHING! They lost NOTHING! Dave was small minded and cheap. I don't do business with people I don't like and these two I don"t like. I read them right from day one.
