In August of 2015 I received a phone call from a man name Jared. He said he was from a program called Hope For Homes. He explained this program to be a resource for people who are experiencing difficulty with home mortgage payments. I was excited to receive this phone call because my son who was living here at the time said he was no longer going to help with paying the mortgage. Jared asked me to write a hardship letter explaining that I cannot pay the mortgage and why I wanted to save my house, I did as he asked.

He also asked me for my bank statements, paperwork from the mortgage company, some more personal information such as my social secuirty number, etc. This was all to be faxed to Jared.

After I sent this paperwork, Jared then asked me to mail money through Western Union, UPS and The US Postal Service to Hope for Homes. In total I've sent this program over 5000 dollars between the months of February and July of 2016. I still have the receipts for all the transactions made.

I was told the financial department through Hope For Homes was going to send me a package with information explaining details on refinancing my house. Til this day, I've never received that package. Hope for Homes kept expressing how they sent the package and that they were going to track it. I even have a tracking number that was given to me.

This money was believed to be held in good faith by Hope for Homes, in case I came across a problem with paying the mortgage. This was to show the mortgage company that they hired for me, that I can pay the mortgage on time. After this I was told that my file was sent to their financial department and financial lawyers.

On Tuesday August 9th, I received a foreclosure notice on my doorstep stating that I was over 13000 in the rearage. Hope For Home was supposed to be paying the rearage to the S&L Mortgage company. I immediatly contacted James about this notice who told me to send more money to keep letting the company handle the mortgage.

I feel as though I've been scammed out of my money and all the contacts I have for Hope for Homes are unresponsive. Recently, just as last week, I was contacted by James again, I explained the foreclosure notice I received at my residence and he said to fax him a copy along with sending 1,268.71. When I asked him why I couldn't reach anyone previously, he stated that there is 72 hours to respond to any questions.

I spoke to a lawyer and they advised me not to send anything else to this program.
