I am just about too furious to write this.

This company is a ripoff and they are good at it. I paid them to help me over 6 months ago and I have been more than patient and eventually finally found out they had been busted.

Eric was the name of the guy who sold me on it. I was promised a lot. I made my payment and they actually went through the trouble of doing half the job. They did contact my lender initially to obtain the rights to negotiate on my behalf and then they DISAPPEARED. They had some yokle call me once a week for forever telling me my file was still in negotiations. Just about every time I called them I got the run around or voicemail and they NEVER returned a call to me. A couple times I did talk to a woman named Mgdalia who was sweet as pie and claimed up and down that they were for real and to just be patient.

Finally about 4 months into the process I got a letter from my lender saying the modification was declined due to "no response from 3rd party negotiator". They just dropped me like a bad habit and hung me out to dry.

I called them immediately extremely upset and got more of the run around. I was told they would call my lender immediately and call me back.....I never heard from them again. I emailed and called asking for a status about 30 times over 4 weeks and got zero response. They completely ignored me.

I would be more than willing to join a class action lawsuit I have a lot of stuff documented, all emails saved etc.

Stay clear of Hope Now Mods they are thieves and I hope they get what they deserve for taking advantage of people in real need of help.

Hire an attorney as I have just done.They have done tons of illegal stuff and they know it.They are in the process of trying to clean this up.I know they have not returned my call since January 2nd.They have my money and nothing has been done.Good luck.Sal Pulaha the owner is a crook.

There employees lied here before.Second of all they refuse to give you any contact info.Also the attorney representing me stated they cannot collect money upfront.This is unlawful.I have started a class action lawsuit against them.Let me know if anyone wants to hear more horror stories about this company.The list is pages long.

You got lucky.I have been dealing with them since December 2nd and have had nothing but problems.In a 2 1/2 month period I received 2 phone calls only because I called raising heck.They will not even return calls to my attorney.He sent them a certified letter this week. Your mortgage company could have done the modification for free,The FCC stated that you should not pay anyone offering this service.You will be taking a chance of being ripped.

I read the complaint about Hope Now Financial Services Corp and couldn't disagree more. From the first call, to the follow ups, Eric answered any questions I have and was able to give me all the information I wanted and more. It sounds like you were ripped off by a dishonest employee or a company that is playing with the Hope Now name, because I was offered the minimum fee which was said to be $1,500.00. It took about 6 weeks from the day I sent all my information and made the payment, until I had the new mortgage terms finalized. Eric even contacted me after the modification was complete to make sure I was pleased with the deal they negotiated and if there was anything else he could do for me. I referred Eric to my friends and family, to see if he can help them as well. Eric helped me save my house, so that I can raise my kids here instead of an apartment in the wrong side of town.

Don't be fooled by these guys.Whoever defended them in the previous post has no clue what is going on.Just read my previous post.I have proof and all documentation to prove they are liers.Do not give any money to these guys.

I suggest anyone who is considering using Hope Now Modifications LLC reads this first.Your problems will only get worse.I have been lied to by executives at this company that I would be refunded.This still has not happened.Do not let them fool you will the MONEY BACK GURANTEE.

I had found a link on AOL new website for 'Government assistance"for homeowner facing foreclosure.I clicked the link and filled out the short questionair.Within minutes my phone started ringing and I received an email telling me based on the information provided that Hope Now Modifications could help me.I contacted the gentelman back whos name is Chris Haynes.He explanined that they would negotiate my loans with my mortgage company to drop the interest rates roll back any late fees etc. and lower my payments.I was told that the mortgage companys typically will halt foreclosure once they knew we were trying.Chris also said the best part was that I would not have to make mortgage payments during this process.He said he needed $1500 that was refundable if they were unsuccessful.I was told at that time that the money would go into an escrow account with my mortgage company to show them that we are serious about wanting to work this out then there fees would come out of that after the modification was complete.He emailed me a packet that I needed to feel out with a draft authorization.This conversation took place during several question and answer phone calls between 11/30-12/4

On 12/4/08 I faxed all of the forums and authorization.I was told that within the next 72 hours that I would receive a phone call from my assigned negotiator and that they would give me all of there contact information and that I would receive emails and phone calls every 48-72 hours with status updates.After 2 weeks noone called me.I called Chris and he said he would check on the status.He also stated that it should not take any longer than 60 days and that I needed to be patient.Chris did not call me back so I called him on 12-8,12-10 and on the 10th stated that the back office was real backed up and that a document was missing.I faxed him more income tax documents that day.After numerous calls through December with getting the same answer that they were backed up I still had not received a call from my assigned negotiator.Nor any communication via email.I called the following dates in December and was givin no info other than they had sent everything to my mortgage company.16,19,22,23,26,28,29 12/31/08.Finally Chris told me he had gotten a Marketing VP Brad Vespie involved and he was going to see what he could do.After several days again with no contact and still no call from a negotiator on 12/30/08 I contacted the 800 number and explained that I was not being updated on what was going on and the lady looked at my file and stated that she would look in my file and call me back.She called back 30 minutes later and ask me the name of my mortgage company and promised she would stay on top of this and call me by the end of the day.She never called me again.I was upset and called Chris several times but he would not answer.Finally I called on 12/31/08 and Chris answered his cell.He said he had received and email that they had already began negotiations with my mortgage company.He also stated that when he returned to the office he would email me the person from my mortgage company they were speaking to.Everytime I tried to get this info he said he would send it and never did.

1/13/09 I still have not heard from a negotiator.I spoke with my Mortgage company and they stated that they had not received anything from Hope Now and that they did not have the $1500 in my escrow account.I contacted Chris and he was angry as well.He then put me in contact with Brad Vespie.Brad said he did not know why I was told that I was in negotiations.He said I was not.He said would call me back.He called me back and said they just contacted my mortgage company and Even had pleasent conversation about baseball because they were neighbor states.He said it looked like it would be quick and most likely could be handled over the phone.After speaking with Brad I suddenly received a call from A lady name Sheria Newkirk.She said the mortgage company sent her a document for us to sign and she would send it in the morning via mail or email.She would not give me any contact info at this point to speak back to her.I called Brad several times again on 1/15,1/12 and several undocumented times letting him know that she had not sent me the document.After calling Brad angry again on 1/23/09 Sheria called again.She said I just received a document from your mortgage company for you to sign.This was a authorization for them to speak with Hope Now.She held this document for at least 10 days.Now I knew they were not speaking with my mortgage company.Now I had her email address when she emailed the document.I emailed Sheria and let her know I sent it.She responded that she received it.I never heard from her again.

I called Brad 27th of January and ask for an update.He did not return my call till after 5pm so noone was there to give him an answer,This went on through 2-4-09.I called Brad and he said you know it can take up to 60 days to become modified.Thats when I informed him that it had been 60 days.He then walked through the office area with his cell phone saying can't you hear how busy it is? Can't you tell we do return calls.He then stated that the policy had changed and they were not calling clients every 48-72 hours because they were backed up.He continued to tell me that they had helped thousonds of people.He ask if my mortgage company called and I said no.He said if they do don't answer.He said they do not want your home because of the economical crisis.He also told me the money stayes in an escrow account with Hope Now and not my mortgage company as I was originally told..He said you know we offer a 100% refund if you would like to just do that.

On 2/9/09 I got the same run around from Brad.I decided it was time to call my mortgage company and ask for help.Thats when they told me that they had sent documents to Hope now and that they had not been back in contact.I called Brad and said ok I would like you to honor the refund.He then started trying to back down.He said well I could just say your mortgage company is not calling us back.I demanded that he do what he had offered me.He then said fine.Call me back at 11:00 tommorow.15 minutes later Brad called back and said your mortgage company is not going to help you and if you do a repayment plan with them then thats not good.He begged for 10 minutes.I said no I demand the refund that you offered.The next morning I began calling at 11:00am and he would not answer all day untill I called from a unrecognized number.He then passed me off to Kimberly Moore who said she would have the check mailed to me by the weekend.I still have not received it as of 2/17/09.Also I still have not heard from the negotiator.

2/19/09 Called and left numerous messages for Kimberly to call me.All of her calls were being screened.After trying all day she did finaly answer.She said the check was in a stack on her desk as was the same story the week prior.I told her this was urgent.She stated that she had to wait till Chris Gallow come out of his office to sign.She told me she would call me at 2:00 pm tommorow and ask for her or Chris.

2/20/09 Called and left numerous messages again as Kimberly did not call me back.They also would not let me speak with Chris.They said he was unavailable.I also left a message on Brad Vespie's voicemail that I needed to hear from someone by the end of the day.As of 4:15 still nothing.

Filled a complaint with the better business bureau. To my surprise instead of a answer from Hope now modifications I receive a phone call from the New Jersey Attorney Generals office stating they had already launched an investigation and ask for my help.Hope Now modifications will lie to you and will not stay in contact.They just leave you hanging.If you are interested in my story let me know.Its been a battle going on since December.

Also, you are speaking of a company by the name of NEW HOPE MODIFICATIONS, LLC. And yes their reputation is just as you had said according to the BBB. You clearly put the wrong number in regards to your HOPE NOW complaint. Meaning, the telephone number you have listed as the Hope Now phone number and fax is actually NEW HOPE Modifications out of New Jersey. Thanks and have a wonderful day.

I can understand your frustration. My question to you is as follows. Did you call into the company and then press 5 for customer service. Then when you got a rep on the phone did you ask to speak with a manager? If you did all of this I can assure you your payment would be returned to you. Did you continue to try to contact them? I am not saying by any means that what the sales guy did to you was the right answer, they should of never ran your payment again without your knowledge, after all he is sales (cant blame him for trying) Lol. Also, Saying the refuse to pay you back is very hard to believe. The one thing you did say in the second paragraph of your complaint is that Hope Now has a reputation for taking peoples money and not doing anything for them. That is ABSOLUTELY NOT TRUE and is SLANDER by every means of the word. They get hundreds of clients a day. Now here is the list of complaints straight from the BBB.

As you and anybody that is reading this can see. Hope Now hardly has this "REPUTATION" you speak of and for a company that has as much business as they bring in four complaints is not bad at all. Also, all complaints were resolved. There are a few companys out there that have names very similiar to Hope Now and I will not say the names as I dont want to speak bad on others but if you do the research you will see the names are very close and very easily mistakened for HOPE NOW MODFICATIONS, LLC. it has given the company a black eye at times.

With that said I hope you get your moneys back and everything works out for you in the future. $1,500 is actually the lowest escrow deposit the company takes so the guy actually gave you a discount of some sort. Take Care and I wish you the best of luck.
