HostDime states "Customer Support staff are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week - no exceptions." on page: http://www.hostdime.com/support/ . HostDime sent me a letter about a transaction in 2004 and also stated the status was closed. They wanted billing information they had been using to bill me for several years. I thought their computer was referring to a past account when for a brief period I was being doubled billed. This double billing was fixed. However, I am in a very emergency situation with no customer service. The customer service rep told me to call back in a few hours when they were open. This is the e-mail sent:

Hostdime has a reputation for hosting terrible sites, spam sites as well as hate sites. Below is just a few of the many reviews that have been received about hostdime. As you'll read, hostdime offers terrible customer service and terrible hosting...
Here is what some people say about hostdime...
"Don't trust Hostdime if you are running a critial website or vbulletin forum. I'd been with them for 2-years on a shared plan through hasweb.com, their subsidiary company and bought an upgrade package for more space then WHAM! they pulled the plug on my forum citing all manner of nonsense about cpu & ram usage (it wasn't even a busy forum) and pushed for their more expensive dedicated hosting package instead. I said no way, then they denied access to my SQL databases and entire ftp directory I needed for moving to another host provider, this went on for about a week (all the time my websites down) until a more helpful Aric from hasweb intervened."
"Hostdime support were a joke with up to 24hours response times basically 'passing the buck' onto another department or someone else, they just couldn't care less."
Someone else had this to say about hostdime...
"No issues gets unsolved... Got various levels of support personnels, so no issues gets unresolved."
"After cancellation they charged me 3 times, and they only refund me twice!
Dont make businness with them"

Someone else said this about hostdime, "We are hosting with Hostdime (www.hostdime.com). For five days now (first day no connection at all!) we have had our site up for 5-15 minutes and down for 45-55 minutes per hour! I've opened several customer service tickets and they only say "this must be from your connection we cannot do anything unless you return us the trace routes". But it was not about our connections, we have members in other countries and they cannot connect to our site, so this is Hostdime's problem. .."
"There are many outstanding hosting companies. There are some mediocre ones, and then there is Hostdime trailing the pack with poor control panel, poor user support and overpriced hosting. I am so sorry I ever used them, and they are the worst of around a half dozen hosting companies that I have used."
Another user of hostdime reported, "I have a billing issue where they are trying to charge me for services I haven't used for the last 3 years. They said they misbilled me and, "now it's time to pay up." I signed up for a resellers account in the beginning but never renewed that and only hosted my small business site with them. They shut down my site and refused to accept anything less than what they had made up. When they called me for my credit card number, they didn't even know how much I owed them and over the course of a few ..."
Former hostdime said this, "I have been with them for two years, and am leaving in disgust. Maybe the dedicated hosts are reliable, but the shared plans absolutely suck. More than six outages last year, and that's only the ones lasting more than three hours (one as long as 24 hours), so who knows how many smaller ones there were. Sorry, I hate leaving bad reviews, and only do so if I have to, but HostDime customer support has a singular talent for making you feel stupid, so I don't feel so bad on this one. Good riddance."
Bottom line is this, There are a lot of host out there to choose from, Why waste your time with Hostdime who obviously could care less about their customers and how they do business. Host dime is out for a fast buck and that's about it. According to Alexia, their rank is falling which probably means that people are catching on to hostdime and how they do business.
If your looking for a host then you'll probably want to stay clear of hostdime and go with a reputable hosting provider.
