Out of the blue, as I was packing up and leaving to go home for the day last Thursday, Tanya Hinebaugh, The VP, walked in and LOUDLY informed myself and the entire office that her husband thought we were having an affair. There was absolutely NO basis for this "claim". Not only did she announce it to the entire office she proceeded to walk around and show people the text exchanges between her and her husband and laughed about it. I was mortified!

Then this man, her husband proceeded to harass me through a series of text messages starting that evening and then over the weekend.

Feeling very uncomfortable I left the office last week not to return till yesterday because of the embarrassment and toxicity of the situation. Upon my return she started an unprovoked verbal assault on me and then walked out of the office only to go home and lock me out of all my company access. This is the kind of "professional" she is. Later in the day I was "let go" by Lanny Husebo, the owner, because "she couldn't work with me." I did nothing wrong! I was cool about the situation that affected ME negatively. Does this seem right to you? One extremely overweight woman's "fat-attitude" & insecure, unmedicated bipolar personality and position of power got me fired. There was no substance to her husbands claims at all. If you have met this woman you would know why no one would want to have anything to do with her other than a professional work relationship. And that is even questionable if one would want to work with her.

If you have business here...take it else where. THEY DO 100% MARKUP ON ALL OF THEIR SERVICES THAT THEY JUST CONTRACT OUT!!

This agency submits their employees to the racial, bipolar rants of this psychotic woman. 

This agency has zero class and is in major violations of unfair labor practices. If you want to make less than half of the industry standard in your skillset...work here. They pay you as a 1099 contractor and yet expect employee requirements of your time and where you work from. They try to renegotiate your pay rate constantly. (5 times in 4 months of working there for me.)

Avoid this dysfunctional "business" at all cost both as a customer and as a job option.

 I worked there prior to the original poster (and may possibly be the receptionist fired for being too pretty lol). All the behaviors described by Jason are absolutely similar to the environment I experienced. I was never given a reason for being let go, I assumed it was because after 3 years and in the end working 2 positions simultaneously I asked for a raise. I was granted another $30 per week and they did the same thing the original poster describes where instead of adding the $30 to my weekly check they issued a second check each week which was not marked as payroll, but something like reimbursement (it’s been a while and I don’t exactly remember). Also I remember hearing from someone else who previously worked there but left on good terms that they let me go to hire a clients daughter (who was just out of high school and paid minimum wage). They had recently lost several large clients all owned under the same corporation who figured out it was much cheaper for them to hire an in-house person to do the work we did, because he’s also right that most of the work they did was contracted out and then just marked up. They were extremely racist and regularly just threw out any resumes with black or foreign sounding names as well. Everything in his review rang absolutely true, both Tanya and her husbands behavior and Lannys unwillingness to do anything about it. Just wanted to back him up even though we’ve never met, our employment there did not overlap.

Scott & Tanya Hinebaugh of Husebo Advertising & Public Relations Continue to Harass

Upon entering the Subway restraunt off 441 in Lady Lake, FL I had the misfortune of running into Scott Hinebaugh and his wife, Tanya Hinebaugh of Husebo Advertising & Public Relations.  

As I was ordering my food I heard, "There that son of a b^&ch is..."  I turned around and there I could see this rather disheveled and angry looking couple stading up and start walking towards me in a very agressive manner all the while shouting obsenities and threatening me with statements like, "We know where you live..."  While this was going on Scott Hinebaugh and his wife, Tanya Hinebaugh of Husebo Advertising & Public Relations began to force me out of the building, using there incredible sizes and girths to push me into the parking lot.  While this was happening I struggled to get my phone and call the police.  Scott Hinebaugh made several physical attempts to remove my phone from me with no success.  I did manage to make a call into the Lake County Sherrifs department but Scott Hinebaugh & his wife, Tanya Hinebaugh of Husebo Advertising and Public Relations fled the scene of the incident with their young son before the authorities could arrive.

These people seem to be very unstable present themselves very offensively, in looks, smell and in behavior.  Avoid working with them.

1099 Contractor's Report Is 100% Truthful

Being that Husebo Advertising & Public Relations is a "PR" agency it is expected they would fire back with a "story"of one of their underpaid workers.  

Again, this was my personal experience with Husebo Advertising & Public Relations.  This is what happened to me.  And I would bet, since no one in their "agency" had been with the company for more than 5 months when I started that there is a lot more unreported Unfair & Illegal Labor Practices | Racial Prejudice & Discrimination | Bullying | Unprofessional Conduct could be reported.

During my actual interview with the company Mr. Husebo & Tanya Hinebaugh both told me how they needed to remove the receptionist but it was a sensitive situation because she was the daughter of one of their BIG clients.  That was a red flag to me at the time but being hungry for the work, I blew it off and tried to focus on the positives of working there.  Later it did become clear why they needed to remove her though.

The same person that is probably typing up their rebuttals told me how Tanya Hinebaugh had forced the previous receptionist out because she was very pretty and Tanya Hinebaugh was very insecure and threatened by that for some reason.  This same person also told me how rude and mean and unprofessional Tanya Hinebaugh had treated her and she went on to tell me why no one who worked there had been there for more than 4 or 5 months.  It was a very toxic environment.

I witnessed on SEVERAL occasions Tanya Hinebaugh's husband, Scott Hinebaugh come into our office and purposefully and loudly pass gas like an 8 year old and laugh and be loud and act like a buffoon in the office.  He's not an employee and he was disruptive.  But since it was Tanya Hinebaugh's husband no one would say anything.  Once, our graphic designer shared a story of how he was sitting off to the side of the door in Tanya Hinebaugh's office & Scott Hinebaugh stuck his exposed bare butt into her office door and passed gas 6 inches from his face while she was on a phone call. I was with her on an office call to a client and she actually shared this story with their PR person, who I don't think found it all that funny.

Within 3 weeks of working there they tried to renegotiate my pay rate and work location deal.  I refused & continued to work and get paid at the same rate.  Husebo Advertising & Public Relations did pay me on time and they did pay the negotiated rates.  I have never said they haven't.  But trying to renegotiate hours and pay rates on an almost biweekly basis is completely unprofessional.  When a deal is struck, a deal is struck.  This happened several more times over the next 4 months.

After my hours were incrementally being increased over the coarse of 4 months and being paid for more hours they started paying me with 2 checks.  One for "miscellaneous expense" and one for "reimbursement"  I'm not sure how labor costs are considered miscellaneous expense reimbursement but I think it's illegal to pay a 1099 contractor that way.. If there are any lawyers or tax accountants reading this please let me know if I am off base and I will retract this.

During my short time there Husebo Advertising & Public Relations acquired a company that two nice young gentlemen from India owned.  After they had left I could hear Tanya Hinebaugh talking very loudly and passionately about how much she hated Indians because "one" had tried to sexually attack her once. She also ranted on about how she was going to refuse to work with them.  

A couple of weeks later when I was assigned the social media marketing duties on the account from her I had to hear it personally. This time I sat threw her tirade about how much she hates Indians and other things that I won't write out of respect for the Indian people and that she was not going to “deal” with them and that I was to work with them.

In the above post I shared about how Scott & Tanya Hinebaugh personal lives were forceably inserted into both my personal and professional life and how I was treated by both Tanya Hinebaugh, for HER OWN BEHAVIOR, and how Husebo Advertising & Public Relation’s owner, Lanny Husebo handled the situation.  

What I didn't share was when I shared my story of how with Mr. Husebo of how I was affected by Tanya Hinebaugh's irratic behavior and instability he shared with me that he too had been victimized by Scott Hinebaugh's insecurity with his wife and he too had been threatened by him in the past over different issues.  Tanya Hinebaugh's husband's insecurity along with Tanya Hinebaugh's inability to control her and her husband’s behavior in Husebo Advertising & Public Relations office is what led to all off this.  Period.  Finding out that he too had experienced the same thing and was unwilling to take control of things in his own office was another HUGE red flag.  Why wouldn't he?  Because of his over dependance on Tanya Hinebaugh and her ABUSE of that power.  

I am glad that Husebo Advertising & Public Relations has chosen to address this publicly.  Because if this ends up in a legal case they will have to commit perjury to dispute my claims.  I have the emails, I have the text messages and I have past contractor and employee accounts of their experiences with Tanya Hinebaugh & Husebo Advertising & Public Relations.

The above information that “Jason R” has reported is false. I am an employee at Husebo Advertising and I never heard any exchange like this between Tanya and any staff member. As evidenced in the above rant, Jason has proven himself to be unprofessional and untrustworthy with company information and that is why he was “locked out of company access”.

The personal attacks against Ms. Hinebaugh are unwarranted and bullying. Tanya is a professional and everyone that works with her has nothing but nice things to say. This company is an equal opportunity employer and the racist remarks of Jason's are untrue.

As far as his other accusations regarding unfair labor practices, this company pays their staff members competitively for their individual skill set.
