Run from this company!! Fast as you can They sell a sales, marketing package for $10,000 to supposedly eradicate dust mites from mattresses. Along with some marketing brochures and a litmus test kit. In reality it is a Kirby vacuum cleaner with a light attachment mounted on the front. The vacuum from Kirby is listed for about $1,000.

Hygienitech promised protected territories (verbally) not written. Other dealers were sold the equipment in same area. Continued promotion of the concept through HQ advertising efforts were promised. (Never happened) Their follow up to questions after they cashed the check for equipment was nonexistant.

They advertised originally 4000 dealers in Europe alone, with a 10 year history of using the system. A search on the web for dealers worldwide cannot yield more than about 30.

Hygienitech has 800 satified dealers worldwide

AUTHOR: Doug - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, October 20, 2009

This person has been writing negative reports about Hygienitech for more than 6 years.  The fact is he and his partner came to Hygienitech's offices 6 years ago.  He was a machinest and his partner ran a warehouse.  A year or so after they purchased their system their partnership broke up.  One of the partners insisted that he wanted to return the used system for a full, 100% refund.  We often will buy back our equipment if there is a hardship or ligitimate reason for the return in which case we will take the system back and evaluate it and then offer a reasonable repurchase price.  To pay 100% for a used machine that we have never been able to see is well beyond reason so we offered him $4000 for his system.

Apparently this wasn't good enough for him and that's when he began creating and fabricating stories about Hygienitech.

Hygienitech has been manufacturing and improving their system and the entire dealership package for close to 10 years.  We are proud to say that we have more than 800 dealers operating successful independent dealerships in 54 countries.  They service everything from private homes to hotels to cruise ships to airlines to military bases.

There's an old say that clearly states that you can please some of the people some of the time but not all of the people all of the time.  This gentleman is a clearcut example of the latter.

The Hygienitech systems kills dust mites, fleas, lice, eliminates bacteria and viruses, including the Swine (H1N1) flu.  It also eradicates mold and mildew spores and if you're interested in learning more, please contact Hygienitech.  We would also be pleased to give the the names and contact information for as many dealers as you'd like to talk to to learn the real story about Hygienitech, its system and the support we provide to all of our dealers.

#4 Consumer Suggestion

Impossible!

AUTHOR: My131bass - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, June 29, 2008

This does not pass my b...s.. test! I know mattresses can weigh twice as much in 10 years due to dead dust mites and skin cells. There is no way anyone can remove 1/2 the weight of your mattress by removing dead skin cells and germs. Also, I would not want my bed, the thing I spend 1/3rd of my life in to be treated with chemicals. Now you are breathing the chemicals, who knows what that could lead to down the road. Here is what I would do.

If you are concerned with what is breeding in your mattress, your mattress can make you sick! If you feel that is the case, I would recommend purchasing a brand new, factory sealed mattress set from a authorized dealer. I would throw out the old and purchase a protect-a-bed mattress protector. It is guarranteed to keep your mattress sanitary. We all sweat a pint of sweat at night, have oils and skin cells that get into our mattresses and breeds bacteria. Protect-a-bed is listed as a class one medical device from the FDA and Canada Health.

We bought into Silent Mites - Hygientech dealership in UK - it does not work

AUTHOR: Simon - Silent Mites Manchester - (United Kingdom)

POSTED: Saturday, May 17, 2008

We bought into the UK dealership on this via silent mites and it does not work as a viable business we followed the manual, spent a lot of money on advertising, networking and delivered over 10,000 leaflets and their is little / no return. We are not saying that we did not get some positive response from people who had allergies whos beds we cleaned as some were positive but they did not have it done again when followed up.

The only people making money in the UK with mattress cleaning is the dealership or franchise sellers.

We have had numerous calls from other people that have bought into this and not one of them has made it work.

It worked for me.

AUTHOR: Sm - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, April 01, 2008

I had my mattresses treated for dust mites by this company. My child suffers from allergies and after seeing it on Oprah, I figured it was worth a shot. So, as my title states, it worked. My son hasn't had ONE, NOT ONE bad season to date. This is an absolute necessity to any allergy sufferers. Dust mite droppings are proven to cause major allergic reactions. I don't suffer from that, but my son apparently did. So, it works for those who have the allergy. Those who don't have the allergy, it simply is a sanitary measure to take. CNN had a whole report on it too. The service this company provides is not a scam at all.

Success in any business depends on the individual

AUTHOR: Doug - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, November 16, 2006

Hygienitech is strickly an equipment manufacturer and supplier of systems to clean and sanitize mattresses and other items in the home such as chairs, sofas and carpeting. While the company endeavors to assist people in establishing a business offering these services to private residences and mult-bed facilities by providing them with variety of marketing and advertising tools, the company does not take an active role in the operation or management of these independent businesses.

This particular dealer came to the Hygienitech headquarters with his then partner and purchased on of our systems. That was about four years ago. At that time he was told that to our knowledge, there were approximately 4000 dealers (not Hygienitech dealers, as the company had only just started operations the previous year) offering mattress cleaning and sanitizing services throughout Europe.

Hygienitech is not a franchise and contrary to what this individual states, the company does not make any claims as to exclusive territories in which a person can operate this equipment.

This unhappy dealer is also overstating the price. Hygienitech sells its equipment packages for $8950. His major complaint is that he was unable to establish a business for a variety of reasons, first and foremost because he and his then partner parted ways and therefore, after a few years of remaning dormant, he demanded that the company refund the full purchase price of the equipment.

The company is in no way obligated to buy back these systems and despite this, the company offered this person a reasonable price for his used system and he refused.

He is also incorrect is stating that the system is a standard vacuum with a light on the front. Hygienitech manufacturers a UV-C Germicidal sanitizing device that kills micro-organisms, bacteria, dust mites and their eggs, common viruses including some deadly ones such as the SARS virus, Anthrax Spores and now that bed bugs have returned, Hygienitech systems are being used in these situations as well. With 493 people operating our systems in 37 countries we are realists and therefore it is not impossible for us to imagine that some people are not cut out for the service business and the interpersonal skills required. This person appears to be more concerned with debasing Hygienitech than working to build a successful business.
