I hired Mark to build our real estate company's new website. I new exactly what I wanted and he told me he could provide it. He was charging $300/mo for the servicing, but billed in 6 month increments. I paid the first 6 months and was told it would be delivered within a few weeks.
The website was not going to be anything special except for a MLS integration that provided a new page on our website for every listing, therefore giving us a large amount of indexed pages with the search engines. He promised he could deliver this, but asked me to buy a dedicated server for an additional $100/mo from a different provider. I did, so I am out the $1800 and now a contract for $100/mo for 2 years.
I have receieved absolutely nothing from him and his communication is horrible. He would not communicate on the phone when we were getting started and I should have known he was worthless from that. I thought maybe he was hearing impared or something, so I went along with it.
It has been 4 months and he will not respond to my emails or phone messages. I have been frauded.

A couple things left out about James Cortiers of cortiers.com - real estate in Texas:
1. We advised him to buy a dedicated server through GoDaddy.com because we are familiar with how to configure them. James insisted on buying a server through a different company. This server was a completely different platform that we are use to and we could not configure it.
2. We did not offer a refund to him due to the fact he didn't comply with our terms and conditions and we worked on his website. He wanted a full refund and I told him only a partial refund would be given or I would finish the project if he purchased the advised server. Additionally, I offered him a Free website at any time.
- We stand by our work and our committed to being one of the top firms that offer Drupal a content management system for all of our clients. Sometimes it's tough when you take on a customer that wants a lot out of a website but doesn't understand what goes into it to make a hugely successful website run. Indexed pages of over 10k you can't just have a shared webhosting plan and/or a dedicated server that isn't easily configurable.
