I was called by a person named Jesse Becker from a company called Global Insight. He said that he saw my resume on Monster.com. He asked me if I had relevent experience for a job that was going to be open. He stated that an un-named company would be hiring several people and he said that he thought I would be a good fit. He asked me for manager references at my previous contrating jobs, which I disclosed.

I told him where I was working. He stated that his organization had made contractor placements at my current and previous employer. I know for a fact, this was not true.

I asked him which organization he was going to be contracting for, he would not disclose this. I asked him which companies that Global Insight contracts for, he said, "All the big players, Northrup Grumman and United Healthgoup and several others."

He said that he was new and had only been there for 2 weeks.

Insight Global, Inc. A Great Place to Work and Work For!

AUTHOR: Elaine - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, March 02, 2011

I have worked at Insight Global, Inc. for over 9 months, and I must share my experience. Coming in as a new Recruiter in the office, I was welcomed in with open arms and felt instantly part of the team. Everyone in leadership understood the path I was about to take on the road to Sales and took me under their wings with effective Recruiter and Sales training. With regards to the other Recruiters, everyone I have worked with has been fun, considerate and ethical, which is important when you start a new job. You want to know that you can not only trust the people you work with, but really enjoy spending your work day with them!

Everyone in my office works extremely hard and the environment is fast-paced and high energy. This job is definitely not for everyone, but then again neither is the world of Sales. If you are offered a position however, it is a fantastic opportunity to be a part of a large, fast growing company that respects and rewards hard work.

I’d also like to address the recruiting process. First, Insight Global does encourage their Recruiters to place a high volume of calls when they are staffing a position. This is to ensure that we are finding not only the most qualified candidates for the current position but also for positions in the future.

We are here to serve our clients (as that is where we derive our business), but we want to make sure that you are both technically a good match for the opening and also excited about the opportunity. If the position is not a good fit, but we get your best information, there is a great chance we will reach out to you again for something that better fits what you are looking for. Further, the reason we ask for references off the bat, is that this is a guarantee we make for our clients. If you were a manager, wouldn’t you want to know that your potential new hire was highly recommended by their previous employer? That is why we ask.

If you are a contractor and have had a negative experience, please reach out to that location and voice it to your recruiter, or escalate it to the Sales Manager. Insight Global, just like any other organization, is made up of people who DO make mistakes from time to time and is constantly striving to improve.

I hope that everyone has a great experience when working with or for Insight Global. It is a job that I do not regret and have learned a ton from. Happy job searching!
