My 11 y.o son and I had an appointment 1/1/12. First of all we got there about ten minutes prior to our time and we still had to wait about 30minutes to be seen. When the "Talent Director" finally got to us (which they were all talent directors) she smelled of smoke and it was not cigarette smoke. She proceeded to sing my son praises and try to get to know his interest or "skill set". Of course, she said he would do great. I wasn't expecting otherwise.
Then that's when the pressure started she pulled out the pricing sheet, which started at $795 for one outfit and with 48shots for comp cards and that's not including the printing of the comp cards that are $4.75/sheet or $1.75/sheet for just a headshot. I asked if we had to use their comp cards and she said yes and they print their name on it. Which means the comp cards aren't truly yours because you can't take them to other agencies. She actually got upset because I asked if we can use our own photographer. I told her I would have to think about it for a couple days and I will get back to her. She got upset even more and said that their company do not have time to deal with people who are going to think about decisions. She needs me to be able to make a decision right away. She proceeded to say that I am not a good mother because I am not supporting my son's dream. I told her if i didn't support my son, he wouldn't be involved in the things that she deemed as "skill sets". Surprisingly the price dropped to $575 for one outfit.
I told her the problem isn't paying the money. I'm concerned about the legitimacy of their company. She then said its the fault of people who don't follow through that blame their company. She was extremely pushy to the point that my son walked away saying he still wants to be a model but definitely not with that company. She told me I wasted their time. I asked her if he is such a star then what is the difference in today versus a couple days. Of course, she didn't have an answer she just kept saying they don't need people like me who are going to wait to make decisions and hold back my son from his dreams. I asked her for our information back until I make a decision, she ripped up his application and said we don't need it anyway. So if you are scouted in the mall walk away quick from this company. It is clearly about the money!

Modeling agencies must be licensed

their comment: First, please do note that InterFACE is NOT, and has NEVER claimed to be a talent or modeling agency or management company.
this says it all....
the reason they say that is they have to be licensed in Florida to be a modeling, talent agency or mgmt company.
This way they can skirt the law. Sounds like they are a photography company selling photo work for premium prices.
If it walks like a duck...

High Pressure Tactics/Extremely uncomfortable
AUTHOR: Lmondrop - (United States of America)

It is 4:50 PM and I am just returning from an entire day ordeal with Interface. We had an appointment with my 5 month old daughter. Drove to Boca from Homestead (1.5 hour Drive) only to wait another 35-40 minutes and then met with the talent director who only meets with the most talented. Yes, we were put "straight through" to her. She was ready to start working with my daughter ASAP because my daughter was gorgeous according to the talent director. Previously I was contacted by someone completely different to set up the appointment and I specifically asked her if I was going to have to do any financial investment because I did not want to drive 1.5 hours to waste my time. I was told I did not have to make any financial investments this was just a meeting to do some test shots to see how my daughter photographed. Well surprise, there were never any test shots done! Only high pressure to purchase a package for a photoshoot. THe cheapest being $595. We were hesitating and really wanted to get out of there but the lady kept insisting and pushing and dropping the price. We were told we can deposit today and have three days to cancel. Mind you the cancellation policy states that it must be in writing, certified return receipt and postmarked within 3 days of the contract execution. We walked out of there feeling duped and bullied and stupid. I tried to go back in and have them void the transaction but they would stating that everything had to have a paper trail therefore I must send in writing the cancellation and request for a refund. I have already contact my credit card and warned them of the situation and will file a dispute to get my money back.

Beware

Wow! Sorry to hear you we're scammed. I was stopped at The Falls Mall in Miami. Someone called me. I have researched the company. It has an F in the Better Business Beaureau. It has tons of complaints.
Then I found entertainmentcity.org, glamour tips.net, cityfashion .org and talented-baby.com. These websites speak wonders about the agency with positive reviews. When you look further they are suspiciously similar down to the bad writing and bad grammar.
I'm definitely not going through with any interview. Too fishy. Too many bad reviews in all locations.

SCAM SCAM SCAM!!!

We just moved to south Florida and we wanted our daughter (4 yo) to be a model, we were more excited about her progress than making money out of it. Almost everybody commenting her look, that she was so pretty ect. So we decided to check out some of the companies, We went to FACEcrap first and we did not knew anything about modelling business. We experiences extream pressure from their agent but anyway decided to pay about 1700 for their platinum package. I told the agent that we want to check out other companies first, but she insisted they were a scam. She said we had 3 days to cansell our payment if we should change our mind. WHen we went to interview to another company they explained us what we did. I was in schock!! I called back to FACEcrap and after 30 min they could finally connect me with director. He screamed at me that i ruine my daughters life ect, i yeld back that i want my money back and i had 3 days ect but they didnt lesten and yelled back about my daughters future. Its worce service experience i EVER had and trust me my country of origin is russia so i know alot about bad service. Avoid AVOID AVOID. Those who want their child to be a model World of kids in Miami is the ONLY serious company out there, trust me it cost me alot of money to find it out.
ADVISE
1. Never pay cash, you can always dispute their payment at your bank.
2. its best for you to get in touch straight with an licenced AGENT that you have too use anyway to get a job they usually charge fom 10 to 20 %. You dont need all that stuff specially if your child dont have that look. I was surprised over to find tons of people at FACEcrap that had all kinds of kids there and EVERYBODY was like superstars, think real (do you child really have that look?? ect.
3.REAL agent making money ONLY when they book a job for you or your child. If you have good unprofessional pictures they can probably use them too. If they tell you you have to use their photograoher, just leave.

InterFACE is a Premier Talent Marketing Company!
AUTHOR: GR_InterFACERep - (United States of America)

My name is Godis, InterFACE Director of Communications, and I am sorry to hear that you do not do not have a positive outlook on our company, and I think it may stem from not entirely understanding our business model. I would be happy to address some of the concerns you have posted about InterFACE.
First, please do note that InterFACE is NOT, and has NEVER claimed to be a talent or modeling agency or management company. InterFACE is a TALENT MARKETING FIRM that works with aspiring models, actor, singers and dancers to help them create the marketing tools they need to be promoted to modeling and talent agencies, who can in turn, request our clients
to participate in opportunities in the entertainment industry. Also please keep
in mind that over 90% of negative commentary about InterFACE are written by people who are NOT clients of InterFACE (like yourself), and have never even used our services.
InterFACE does offer a FREE initial talent evaluation to learn more our services and the client's goals. If you chose not to move forward with our services (which you did not), there is NO OBLIGATION to move forward. Every actor or model will obviously have to purchase marketing tools before any marketing or promotion process can begin, whether that is with InterFACE or somewhere
else. InterFACE does offer several different photography and marketing packages for those who
are interested in creating marketing tools that will be used to promote them to industry professionals, we also offer a cancellation policy for those who chose not to move forward with our services. InterFACE, like any business, does attach specific fees to utilize our services, and it is unfair that you have labeled InterFACE negatively because we charge consumers to utilize our services, which is the basis of any enterprise.
InterFACE is proud to be able to say that the vast majority, over 80% in fact, of our clients receive a request from an industry professional agent or manager. However, what the development director stated is also true, and there have been instances when InterFACE has clients who are requested for opportunities in the entertainment industry that are not prepared to take the undertaking seriously, and do not understand the level of commitment that comes with pursuing a career in the entertainment industry. InterFACE is in no way a scam, and we display up to the minute company news and client requests on our website (www.interfacetalent.com) and social media pages (Facebook www.Facebook.com/InterFACENetwork) (Twitter-www.twitter.com/interfacenetwk), which we urge you to visit and review.
Our program works and I would love the opportunity to explain the framework of our company in more detail to anyone who has any concerns about our business. Please contact me at any time to
discuss InterFACE further at: gwatts@interfacenetwork.com.
I look forward to hearing from you!

Run Away from Interface Talent in Boca Raton
AUTHOR: SayNoToInterface - (United States of America)
SUBMITTED: Monday, September 10, 2012
I visited them(Interface) at their Boca Raton location yesterday, after they convinced my wife that our two boys were so talented. When we arrived, we saw the place was packed. Same tactics by one supposed model (with not even a single modeling assignment) named Lauren Ashley Taylor, tried to scam us. She sounds worse than a used-car salesman. They wanted $2000 for a photo-shoot, with no guarantees of any modeling contracts! Bunch of scammers! Also, the print charges are separate, around $4 per picture.
Do not fall into their trap. I made the wise decision of walking away from their scam, even as I watched several people getting scammed. They are deceptive. If they are so good at getting children into modeling, how come they have their models double up as staff? I suggest a lawsuit be filed against them in the State of Florida.

Many people are displeased with the services of talent companies such as interFACE. Please follow through with the services completely before you report a company because if "you" don't make good use of what they provide to you, or you simply give up; you are not making yourself available to succeed with the opportunities companies such as interFACE provides. Success in the entertainment business is rarely ever (almost never) FREE!!...."everybody is about their money these days; even you."
