I too have experienced "Kathy" at InTownSuites in South Salt Lake, UT. She is the Courtesy Officer there after hours. There are Utah Statutes and City Ordinances against smoking within 25 feet of any door or air intake, i.e., ac and heating units and public drinking and intoxication. She would rather be a friend to law breakers than doing her job. All of the following things are covered in the initial rental contract that everyone signs and agrees to when they want to stay here.

1. Smoking in the designated smoking area.

2. No smoking inside the hotel anywhere including rooms

3. No drinking in the parking lot or vehicles.

4. Clean up after your service animals and dispose of waste in dumpster.

5. No propping open any of the secure entrance doors or allowing people you don't know into the building to ensure guest safety.

Kathy allows all of those rules and laws to be broken or ignored. As a matter of fact she joins them in smoking directly in front of all of the secure entrances and ac units. There is no way that she can then enforce the law and rules.

When you inform her of laws being broken her response is, "If I don't see them doing anything I can't do anything."

The manager James repeats those very same words.

This place is horrible and frightening!!! Drug deals in the parking lot, stabbings, prostitutes knocking on your door, hostile drunken residents, people racing cars through the parking lot, and dogs pooping all over the place !!!

I can't afford to get out of here! Easy to get in because there are no security deposits. But, then the rent is so high you cannot save any money to get out because you can't raise the money for a security deposit and first month's rent!!!!
