This "person" called my neighbor, who just moved in a few weeks ago, I know nothing about them, and told her to give me the message. Then I called them, she wasn't available 3 times I called. I have magicjack internet phone, but they were able to get the number and called me back.
After I told her the reasons I was not able to pay, she starts wanting to know about my land I supposedly owned (haven't owned it in 5 years) and finally told her I didn't have anything they could get. I'm disabled in a wheelchair, and trying to keep my daughter, her husband, and 3 boys with a roof over their head, and some form of food.
They are both disabled, he had a serious infection in 2007 and almost died from septic shock, he has filed for his disability...that has left him blind, but we are still waiting. It has been over a year since he filed.
And she couldn't deal with me, so she sent my call to a MALE voice. He didn't get any where either. He was very rude, trying to belittle me for taking care of my daughter & family instead of paying this "bill". So I proceeded to tell him that as long as I was alive..........my daughter and grandkids would not be homeless, hungry, or cold if there was anyway I could prevent it, that they come before him or any other persons or bill that wasn't daily neccesities.
Listen folks, these debt collector are slick, they will tell you anything they think will scare you into paying what they want.........all they can do is make you think that you are going to be in bad trouble.......if you stand up to them and don't let them bully you, then they back down. Be sure to check your home state laws to see if they can garnish your wages. In NC they can't. Study up on what the laws are in your state, and send them a CEASE & DESIST letter, and if they keep harrassing you..........report them to the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) if they get enough complaints about this sort of thing, they can be fined for it.
JUST REMEMBER...THEY ARE GETTING A BONUS IF THEY GET YOU TO PAY....

Cambece sucks

This sounds like Cambece, picking on people who are not only unable to pay the bill, but physically disabled, too...wow. What a bunch of pricks. But I have to say, it does feel good to know that there are other people out there who have been tormented by these so-called 'lawyers'. For a long time, I thought I was the only one, until I found out about Bud Hibbs and his web site. We need to be united in our fight against debt collectors. I will keep you and your family in my prayers..

They have been a thorn in my side

The same lady from Cambece has been calling me too. They will break the laws trying to get what they want. She has called me at work twice after I told her not too, I reported them to the FTC on that. Then I returned her call one morning it was early it was before 8:00 am my time and I left her a message, she called me back twice before 8:00 am, which I never gave permission for them to call me before 8:00 am, even thought I did call them before 8:00 am. I reported the on that too, I have saved the missed calls and the voice message that she left that have the time and date on it. I hate to see people go through all this like I am, its hard and its hard to know what to do, part of me wants to work it something out with them, but everything you read about these people is not good, how can you ever trust them to do right? Do you just hope for the best and take a chance on whether or not you get sued and they will get a judgement? I hope all goes well for you and your family.
