Jan Wishart was my landlord from July 2010 - June 2011. He started out being very nice and polite and would work with us through anything. Once we gave him notice on June 1st that we intended to move at the end of the month, he turned into a complete a*****e. When we signed the lease, we paid one month's rent for a deposit, PLUS a $400.00 pet deposit. Upon termination of the lease, we received a whole whopping $129.00 check for the remainder of our deposit. After looking at the print out of what we were charged for, he only refunded us for the $850.00 that we paid which was one month's rent. He conveniently forgot to refund our $400 pet deposit. When he was asked about it, he claims that it is non-refundable. I let it go because I didn't have a copy of my lease to prove otherwise. I found my lease over the weekend and low and behold, it says NOTHING about my deposit being non-refundable. As most of you know, a deposit is just that, a deposit. Which means you get it back at the end of your term. I have since sent him an email asking for my deposit back AGAIN and have given him a week to either send me a check or respond that he'll see me in small claims court. I have a feeling it will be court. I have yet to hear from him. I forgot to mention to you that he also works for Carpenter Realty as a realtor. Don't buy or rent from him. He will cheat you out of your money! JAN WISHART SUCKS!!! I forgot to mention that he will rob you blind through rent as well. We paid $850 / month for a 3 bed, 1-1/2 bath house less than 1000 sqft. Also, if it rained, the toilets wouldn't flush due to being on a septic system, so there were several weeks during our lease that we had to use the restroom at the local gas station. Of course, none of that was mentioned at the beginning of our lease.

Past renter trashed the rental property and left the interior of the home in a filthy unsanitary unlivable condition including dog fesses.
He left a mountian of trash, garbage, dirty dipers, and broken furniture in the front yard which took two full dumpsters to remove.
I don't believe how this renter could live like this!
In the ten years plus I have been a landlord I have never received a complaint.
I personally would live in any of my rentals and are all in tip top shape(interior and exterior) when rented.
I hope the Board of Health catches up with these people and if so it would hit the news big time.
Also notice these renters did not leave a name or contact number.
