 This man took my vehicle on January 30, 2013, claiming that he could repair the body damage (from a fender bender) for $1,100.00.  He asked for $800 down. I stupidly gave it to him.  He took the vehicle.  It is now October 15, 2013.  He has not repaired the vehicle.  he will not return the damaged vehicle.  He simply took my money, and now has my vehicle in his possession and refuses to return it.

He has violently threatened me, and my daughter.  He has claimed "I am not returning your car nor am I returning the money". 

He arrogantly laughs when I try to ask him questions, or, mostly, he refuses to answer my phone calls.  

He is not reasonable.  He is arrogant.  He has avoided me since June, and continues to hold my vehicle, without disclosing the location. 

The police say it is a civil matter, but it is nothing short of theft.
