JJ Jackson Lasso Me Tex Puppy Mill? Magnolia, Texas

My wife was about to buy a cockapoo puppy from J.J. Jackson at Lasso Me Tex in Magnolia, Texas.  She went to see the puppy, and later sent a personal check for $300, as a deposit of one-half the purchase price.  The seller returned the check, saying the seller required a "postal money order."  The seller's contract struck me as one-sided and primarily designed to give the seller the right to forfeit the buyer's deposit (although I haven't looked at other breeders' contracts--they might all be that way).  I can understand why a seller would want to be paid by a postal money order, which is an essentially non-cancellable instrument, if the seller were going to ship the buyer a product without waiting for a check to clear.  Puppy deposits, however, are paid well in advance of delivery of the puppy, so a seller could easily wait for a check to clear without risking cancellation by the buyer.

In trying to contact the seller, my wife Googled the seller's name and ran across this website, so I'm posting this alert that the sellers, who, according to other postings, have been in Conroe, Texas, may have relocated to Magnolia, Texas, which is near Conroe. 

When my wife went to see the puppies for sale some weeks ago she asked to see the mother and father of the puppies.  She couldn't see either one.  She can't recall what the story was on the father, but the mother was said to be nursing puppies, and being viewed would disturb her.

This may not be one of the Jackson family members other posters here have been writing about, but there is good indication that it is.  For one thing, the email address lassometx@live.com is the same address given by one of the earlier posters.
