My car was damaged in a accident,  I contacted my insurance company Geico. They told me I had to take it to John Harris Body Shop in Lexington. I went to John Harris for and estimate, they told me I needed appointment for a estimate. I tried to explain to Mark that I am a student nurse and did not have time.

Mark said, "look Lady" we are a busy shop and our next appointment available is a week out.  By APPOINTMENTS ONLY!!!!   I left there and went to 2 other places and got estimates that hour.  I contacted my Claims Reps and try to advise her I wanted to have my car repaired at a shop of my choice. She advised me no way, I had to use Geico's Repair program.  "They save us money".

Unfortunately I went back to J.H. They wrote and estimate to repair my fender, and refused to replace it.  This was recommended to me by the 2 other shops.  When I complained they said fine we will put a Taiwan fender on. I did not know what that meant.

Now I do, It is a fender produced by a third world country and does not fit properly. When I picked up my Honda I told Mark Vysckil I was not accepting the vehicle because the fender did not look wright. I contacted Geico and they told me thats how they save money and keep their rates down.

John Harris Body Shop refuse to fix my car properly, What I found out through my research was the fender they used was not certified to fit my Honda. They did not blend the door and did not buff the paint. Geico agreed they should have used a certified fender and finally allowed me to take to a shop of my choice and have the repairs done properly.

John Harris is was horrible to me!!!! Caution use at your own risk

Geico Ripped You Off - Not John Harris

AUTHOR: Gregory C Baloun - ()

POSTED: Friday, June 13, 2014

Three people hit three sides of my car.  I always had the repairs done at John Harris using New Factory Parts, because I have Progressive Insurance.  Progressive gives a lifetime waranty on all repairs so they insist on new factory parts.  Geico is a rip off company that will not let a repair shop use US parts.  John Harris could only do what Geico would pay for.  Dump Geico and get Progressive.  All of my John Harris repairs were PERFECT, and I am a drag racer from the sixties who knows cars.

Sincere Apology

AUTHOR: ZT - (United States of America)

POSTED: Saturday, January 22, 2011

I want to offer the author of this post my sincere apology for the way she was treated. It is not common practice for us to be rude to customers and our customer service report will show that. We have been fortunate to have a 95% customer approval rating and have been in business since 1975.

If thisgives you any peace of mind, I looked back into your file (there was only one Gieco, Honda, Fender replacmentrepaired during that time) and found that a genuine Honda fender wasput on your vehicle. I would be happy to share the invoice with you. The onlyaftermarket part put on your vehicle was a plastic fender liner. All other parts wereHonda parts. As a courtesy to the customer we have chosen to use allOEM parts even when the insurance company will only reimburse forused or aftermarket. The only exception would be when an oem part is not available.

To better explain why we try not to write estimates is because an estimate, with out a proper disassembly, is merely a lie, and I would prefer not to start a relationship with a lie. Rather we willdisassemble your vehicle and provide you with a solid "turn key" quote.

Please call the shop and ask for John
