John Robert Powers - Jennifer Miller SCUMBAG EXTRAORDINAIRE!! PORTLAND Oregon

I worked at John Robert Powers Portland, OR for the last two years. My job title was Regional Director/Talent Scout. I was primarily responsible for finding and auditioning talent for the JRP school system. I am writing this to WARN anyone interested in joining JRP/Portland that you are WASTING your time and money.

The company is owned by Jennifer Miller who in my personal and proffesional opinion is a snake oil salesman. I have witnessed firsthand the lowdown dirty business practices she utilizes in her company dealings. She refuses to give refunds that are owed to clients at almost any and all costs. She is rude, aggressive, overbearing and downright hostile towards employees and customers past and present. She is a 300 pound supposed former model??? I would ask for references.

I have seen firsthand how she claims her company Develops and Markets talent and is Portlands best training facility. LIES, LIES, LIES!!!!! I ask her to produce even ONE CLIENT in the last TWO YEARS that has even booked one paying job or even non-paying job through JRP/Portland. The success stories that she uses to bamboozle clients into joining are ALL from some other JRP locations. She pays to have L.A. agents fly up to audition her clients. She also has worked out deals with an L.A. agent to make her clients pay for "EXTRA" classes so they can get representation. A practice that is both illegal and unethical.

If it seems that I am bitter towards JRP and Jennifer Miller it's because I am!!!I worked my butt off for JRP for two years in Portland and all of my past and current JRP clients know this and will tell you as such. I have sat back and watched Jennifer Miller try to tarnish mine and other past employees reputations by slanderous and malicious smear campaigns. She is in my opinion a lowdown, lying, backstabbing, delusional MONSTER only interested in taking your hard earned money and giving you back nothing in return.

I left JRP/Portland two months ago to start my own Model & Artist Management Company. I could no longer sit back and watch the clients I signed at JRP be taken for a ride by Jennifer and her shady business practices. I was a valuable employee for two years at JRP and all JRP clients were sent an E-mail stating as much after my departure. I am writing this to distance myself completely from ANY AND ALL past and present dealings with JRP/Portland and Jennifer Miller. I also feel it is my duty as a decent human being to warn any and all people that might be interested in JRP/Portland BE AWARE and BE AFRAID!!!!!! JRP/Portland is a terrible WASTE OF YOUR MONEY AND TIME!!! Check out the Better Bussiness Bureau and all of the Rip-Off report sites you can and you will see I am telling you FACTS!!!!!!!

I end this bitterness by stating that, Portland is a hotbed of Acting and Modeling activity with legitimate companys that WILL market and train you without the RIPOFFS & LIES!!!! I implore you to do your homework and find those LEGIT companys. Best of luck on your path to hopeful fame and fortune.
